Thank you for the video. I was looking for a video that said what to do with the "blue thing" at the bottom of the switch, since mine didn't come with directions. The switch worked great.

I'm not getting any notifications of new videos. I'm not sure what changed, but I found you on my subscriptions list. That's funny, no plug in wire. Not like I ever did that before. You've gotten your money's worth from that machine.

Yes it has been a good unit. Not sure about the KZbin thing as I'm still a novice lol!

I have the identical compressor, same age. Never had a problem until this winter the check valve went because of corrosion from dampness in the tank. After replacing the check. valve , now the safety valve leaks back to 110lbs over a period of 3 to 4 hours .then it stops bubbling. Very hard to detect cause only a couple tiny bobbles onec in a while. But it doesn't blow. Just thought I would let you know. Those are good old machines though

I had the same problem with my Campbell Hausfeld 60 gallon upright. Got the switch that ereplacementparts recommended and it’s the same China switch as your new replacement switch is. I don’t like how the little black unloader rube just pushes in - what a piece of crap! Good luck with yours. I hope mine will give me more service as well.

So far so good but I'm sure it won't last 20 years like the original

like you said at the end the guy I bought mine from wanted to get rid of it because he bought one of those massive dewalt air compressors and he didnt need this one 80 bucks later its mine and just needs a switch

Yes alot of people only need this part

Have you ever had the inside inspected for rust? I have read the tanks have a shelf life and if it’s rusting out from the inside you may have a ticking time bomb

I have not but I drain water out of it regularly,

My compressor starts working and builds pressure up to 150psi but sometimes during work it will not start and won't keep tank charged. Sometimes it turns on only for a few seconds then goes quiet. Sometimes I hears something that it wants to start like air going somewhere through the pipe for about 2 second and then quiets and stays like that. Fails to keep up pressure in tank when I use it. Pressure goes low as 50psi but compressor doesn't start. Then I had to open drain valve to release remaining air pressure in the tank. Disconnect it from AC power for few minutes and it starts working again build up to 150psi again. I don't hear any air leaks. What could be wrong? How to fix it?

All the pressure switch does is block and send electricity to the motor at certain pressures. You can test with a meter, when it doesn't come on at low pressure, see if voltage is going to motor. If not then bad switch, if it has power then bad motor. If you are not familiar with how a multimeter works and electricity safety then get a professional. Hope this helps.

Where did you get the cord?

The electrical cord?
@HOTCASE237 ай бұрын
Yes did you buy it separately?
@byronwoolfrey10393 ай бұрын
I imagine he used the same cord that was on the compressor all the time, just had to move it from the old switch to the new one.

It would be more than wise to replace that safety blow off that stuck on you. If it stuck the first time you ever needed it I would not chance it again.

You are correct, I ment to so that, I'll order today!
