Thank you Mike! When I started to have zone valves and aquastat problem 2 months ago with my Lennox CWB-4D. I started watching your videos. Now, I know just about every part of my boiler. The Honeywell and Caleffi zone valves, air vent, ignition controls etc. I have now DIY upgraded my system with a Taco switch control and replace the L8148A Aquastat. It seems that the service is more interested in selling new stuff than fixing the old. And in Seattle, it's getting hard to find people working on boilers and not many choices when replacing them if you don't want the new combi boilers.

Was wondering, in my area unions for gas can not be in the unit itself. Must be installed outside the appliance. Is that not the case in New York? Just curious. Like the videos keep up the hustle.
@acrservicesmathewr756510 ай бұрын
Makes sense if they leak it can cause a roll out. Better off just putting on the union after the valve and before the drip leg

Mikey..... for residential clients.... 50.00 off if their utility room/closet, and the pathway to the utility room/closet is cleared of all junk before you arrive. Some of these places are hoards. Separate systems allow only ONE tenant to lose heat/HW, and not a failure taking out the entire building. If each tenant is paying their own gas/electric....... landlord would be best served keeping these separate. MAINTENANCE likely much lower with this stuff, than with wall hung 5-10 year equipment that is more maintenance intensive. BTW, very nice install. Why would landlord care how PRETTY the older stuff is? You get to redecorate as the other units hit their EOL The combis seem to be designed more for the contractor, so they can hide it in a closet, and not "waste" space to have a proper 8 X 15' utility room. ( Which is where the workbench, vice and homeowner maintenance stuff would also go.... you need raw, unfinished space for utility access, DIY and hobby projects ANYWAY. When I was a kid, that was where the 250 gallon oil tank also lived.
