Hopefully you never will. If you watch my CV axel video I think you can see where I broke this one myself. If just too a few weeks for the wire to finish falling out.

Thanks for the video. Once you install the new sensor do you need to reset the code or does it reset the check engine light itself?

You can reset it either with a code reader or by unhooking the battery for a few min. Other wise it will eventually reset itself once the car goes so many miles without seeing the condition again.

The Honda dealership wanted $150 to diagnose the ABS issue, plus whatever the cost to repair. It's still not fixed on my 08 Honda Element.

I decent medium grade OBD2 reader should tell you what's wrong with it.

It's an easy fix. You can do it.

these buggers suck when it's rusty and stuck.. Got one side off with visegrips and the other i had to drill out. I cleaned out and added some silicone paste on the area's of the sensor that touches the metal... hopefully no rusty in the future and easy to pull off.

That's a good idea. This is the first one I have ever had to drill out. Not fun but not too bad.

Is the wheel speed sensor the long one or short one

I'm not sure I understand the question. If you're asking about the length of the wire I think the rear sensors are longer than the front. They also come in right and left so be sure you are ordering the one for the wheel you are working on.

Abs light, no codes come up and the abs fuses seem to be good

If the light is on there should be a code. Are you sure you have a code reader that works with ABS codes?

@@gregoriodecker2692 Some of the less expensive ones don’t read anything but engine codes. You have to spend a little more to read ABS and SRS codes.
