You’re lucky it didn’t have Roto-Stop. They are a real pain in the ass to change the belts on. Hondas are great mowers but they tend to over complicate a fairly simple process sometimes.

Take the plastic shrowd all the way out much easier. But good video. 👍

To get the shroud out, you have to remove the mulch/bag lever first and then pull the the shroud forward so the door comes off. Then you can pull the rear belt guard. Put the door back in before any bolts. And the lever needs to go in as you put the door in.

Just know. that there is a plastic pin, non-removable that the shroud needs to be pried from to get the shroud out. Also DO glue the nuts in especially the one on the top with the phillips head screw. You'll never be able to put the nut in place unless you have a hand the size of an 8 yr olds. I didn't and ended up pulling the shroud out, again, no biggie to glue the nut.

Not a good video but hey you're out there doing it. I'm watching this cause I literally just relived my last 20 minutes watching your video. I did remove the wheel and removed the last bolt on guard. and you have to be careful cause the bolt go into a nut. Outside of that I can't figure how to get it off the rear guard. I'll look for another video that shows how its done. Good luck to you.

Good pin point video. I am just not a fan of some of the Honda designs. They could easily have split that belt shield as do the other mower makers ! I have had 3-4 recently I have worked on. Also, the 2 bolt's with the 31 gasket's that secure the carburetor. _FAIL_ 🤣

Getting that plastic cover wasn't that hard. The PITA was bending the belt guards His blade really needs a sharpening. Honda is too cheap to put in a $0.25 oil drain plug! I would never buy a Honda car.

I would have removed the blades first. It looks like that would have made the entire process much easier, plus I would have wanted to sharpen and balance anyway. Dude, kick that Chihuahua into next Thursday and get a rabbit for a pet! They don’t bark. 👍😂🔧🧰
