Yes. I’ve never had a problem with it.

Yes. It works fine. From what a couple folks have said, it doesn’t work well but I’ve never had a problem.

It basically uses the information from the van's computer, so I am thinking it does, however I have never looked for it, nor have I seen it. You have given me some homework:)

We had a KENWOOD deck installed in our 2018 Promaster. The clock on the dash is displaying the wrong time and I can’t adjust it. Do you have that problem. If not could you post a list of the hardware that you used in your installation. Thanks

How much did BB charge to install?

I’ll have to find the invoice. However, it wasn’t much off the top of my head. I think about $150. I normally do all the work if I can, but on this stuff being partially tech I didn’t want to risk breaking something or damaging the vans power system.

Maybe I missed the part about the back-up camera, the stock camera is NOT compatible with any of the Kenwood head units, it's a distorted picture with very low resolution, you have to replace the backup camera with a Kenwood like I did or find one that is compatible.

You know what? You’re right! Until I read your comment I just assumed it was a poor quality issue. The camera works, but the low res is an issue. Hmmmm. Now I have a new project!! Thanks for pouting that out!

@@WildJourneys The head unit I installed is the DMX997 KENWOOD EXCELON, so I installed the HD EXCELON CMOS-740HD backup camera, but I also installed a Kenwood camera in the cargo area of my pro master , that model is the Kenwood CMOS-230, lower resolution but quite adequate for monitoring my cargo load. If you opt for installing the backup camera in the existing plastic enclosure, you need to make a lot of modifications, I did it but I wouldn’t recommend it for the average DIYer The easier way is to install it where the center running light is, which will net more viewing area without the usual fisheye obstruction.
