ALWAYS remove the battery cable. You can really mess things up if that hot alternator wire touches anything metal. The pre-sets are no big deal to re-set.

Nice guide, but i dont see any problem with the old alternator. This model have smart charging system so its normal that alternator is not charging when engine is running, and yes you can boost charging simple switch light on

Yeah my alt got oil residue on the belt side… after it got replaced. even more money get it replaced again, cuz now it doesn’t even turn on

Short circuit? The battery should be disconnected so it shouldn't matter....

There’s no mileages to do this at alternator can fail anytime however these cars their alternator seems like they fail around 60k miles
