Replacing An Exterior Door With A Wall
Today we are replacing an exterior door with a wall. This customer already had several double doors like the one we are taking out and asked if we could replace the doors with a wall. We go through all the steps on how to get this done (with the exception of adding the vinyl siding back to the outside. We take the doors out, build a wall out of 2x4's, insulate the wall, and then finish it out with drywall! Since we were already laying a new floor, we also added the baseboard to finish, finish the project!

We were not hired to finish the outside part, only the inside.

The customers actually had Simeon else do the exterior. They were doing more work. We actually did the floor in this house and picked up this side job(the wall) anyway thanks for the comment. See ya on the next one

We were not hired to do the outside job but when we were done it was plywood on the outside. Tks for the question!

I would have added an extra stud instead of cutting the sheeting, a 2 by is much cheaper than the labor to cut the sheeting

What dose a job like this typically cost? Closing off an exterior door? We have a door exactly like this in a room I would like to close it

Can't remember exactly but it shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred dollars to dry it in
