You really have to admire past generations that built things like your finca without power tools or modern equipment. It was back breaking work that took years.

It’s really great to see how you reuse the wood and the stone to make it back to original so perfectly. Very skilful work Andy and it looks beautiful too. 👍🏽😎

Rather you than us with the window opening, it`s a good job you know what you are doing and not someone playing at it and hoping for the best 👍

lol, thanks - I have been practising for 40 years and getting the hang of it now.

Wow, what a mission that was, who would’ve expected reinstating a window to take all that work. Hats off to you both though, looks great so far 😀👏🏼

Put those knees away😂 (Andy)😂 That was impressive, looking fab already. And a little more water for the cistern? Cannot wait to see the window installed.

Great work, especially considering the short windows you two have to work in with the massive heat index you're facing.

I'm doing the same in sw France. Although I have sacrificial lintels so 3 parts and only having to replace the outer one. Using 150 x 150 mm posts cut down to 130mm to fit. One one one in progress and the third one is the concern as I think both outer and middle need replacing

Very interesting episode. As a matter of interest where did you get the strong boys from? And do you know what they are called in Spanish ?
@FincaLife2 ай бұрын
Thanks. I have had them for years and never seen them in Spain. You can probably get them shipped from the UK but at what cost.... Or if you can weld, make some!

if all powerful benevolent god is the true creator of every thing not the satans ruling you human slaves then why would god want & need to create system of life where intact things crumble into pieces by default but crumbled pieces never become intact by default ?
