I believe that would be interesting to see your Garage Fire alarm system have a battery calculation done on it. Even know like you said that you wouldn't need to do that because your garage is on a generator. But either way that is still interesting to see!

Expressed part of the battery load calculations Standby Amp Hours: 0.32 amps * 24 hours = 7.68 Amp hours Alarm Amp Hours: 1.08 amps * 0.5 hours = 0.54 Amp hours Combined Amp hours: 7.68 Amp hours + 0.54 Amp hours = 8.22 Amp hours Lasting times of the amounts Standby lasting time: 18 Amp hours / 0.32 Amps = 2 days and 8 hours Alarm lasting time: 18 Amp hours / 1.08 Amps = 16 hours and 40 minutes The correction of the real time of how long you can have the bells ringing on battery backup is 16 hours and 40 minutes
@RossTheGenMan7 ай бұрын
Hello Nic. Thanks for the video. I could be wrong but it seems to be you would need to measure the current for a specific time then do the math. Like if standby used 0.60 amps if it ran for a minute then you could multiply that by 60 to get an hour and then by 24 to get 24 hours.
@nics-systems-electric7 ай бұрын
You multiply the current times the 24 hours you need as the battery's are sold by an amp hour rating. So you will get the answer for what amp hour size you would need.

How did you get so many alarms? And does your family like/approve of the fire alarms and emergency lights?
@nics-systems-electric7 ай бұрын
Bought the low frequency devices on eBay and nobody else cares they recognize that the house needs to have some sort of fire alarm and the residential devices weren't working for us so as long as you do a clean installed with low profile devices there's no issues with looks
@HydrAlarms_of_CJP_Productions7 ай бұрын
@nics-systems-electric I prefer installing alarms where the box is outside of the wall, like the opposite of flush mounting, it's easier for me, cutting phone-sized walls is not easy to so in a rented duplex💀💀💀
