I replaced mine with an EP27 flasher relay to stop the hyperflashing after installing LED rear taillights and turn signals. The resistors some people use seem a kinda janky when I can use a $10 flasher to fix the problem correctly. A flat blade screwdriver helped to pull the old one out. The tape made it a bit of a pain. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for posting this. Despite owning a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport, I used this as a very helpful guide...very similar to my vehicle. I don't know if you, or, anyone else, had this problem, but, the old relay was a bitch to remove. There's barely enough room for my hand; I had to wiggle it like crazy (the housing moves around with the relay), and, then, only the plastic box cover came off; but, then, with a better grip due to the now-exposed circuit board and electrical coil, it came out nicely. Then, replacing the new relay had to be done all by 'feel.' No room to see in there to line-up the terminals. Most importantly, I made sure to remember how the old relay came out as not to waste time with trial and error trying to line-up the five horizontal and vertical terminals. It only goes in one way. Thanks a million for posting this! :)

Thank you! 10-minute repair of my malfunctioning blinkers on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. I used the Novita EP27 flasher relay and it went in perfectly. I used a flathead screwdriver to pry the old relay out.

Thanks for this video. I tried following a few others and what they kept neglecting to mention was you needed to remove the plastic molding and the heat shield to get to the relay. They made it seem like they were just looking under them from the pedal area. I wasted a couple hours then found your video. I was done in 10 minutes. Thanks!

Awesome, this got my blinkers working again. The old one was hard to remove, I used flat head screwdriver to wedge into the gap and twist to pry it off from various sides.

Thank you for the video Didn't even bother to try pulling it first, just used a flat tip to budge it loose like you suggested. Not sure why they put it under the dash instead of with the rest of the relays, but still, a simple fix.

Worked great on 99 Cherokee. Blinkers did not work, hazards did. Replaced this and now the blinkers work too!

It was awesome to have your video esp the part where you recommend to check the relay by feeling for vibration when the signals are flashing. Only way I could tell I found it. Also it is mounted to the under dash area with a 'nub'. If you put a screwdriver under it and lift up you can pop it off the hole and then it will protrude far enough to easily change it.

Thanks! I looked at some other videos and the inside wiring of their dash was completely different than mine. This one was very close, and I just changed out my relay with a new one from O'Riellys for $16.

DUUUUUUDE YOU JUST SAVED ME $130!!!! I can't fucking believe it was sooo easy! The Jeep dealership wanted to charge me $50 for the part and $80 for an hour of labor to put the thing in. I was like... uhhhhh yeah no thanks. Fucking 15.99 at Autozone and I was able to dismantle everything and have it in and out, put back on in less than a half hour. THANK YOU SO MUCH! SUBSCRIBED!!

Before you replace anything go to view wiper relay on top of the steering wheel you'll see a piece of tape holding it together just pushed down the old relay switch r make sure it's making good to contact that usually fixes it before you replace any parts

Here's a problem. I replaced mine with the LittelFuse FLR727BP.and I got a hissing noise and the car wouldn't start. The old flasher relay still worked when I put it back in and the car starts but it gets tired after a while and stops flashing. I can only hope that I got a defective replacement part. Reply if you have a clue.

Hey thanks! Blinkers work now. I have a 1997 Grand Cherokee and I put a new engine in it and it was running great. However, it’s been making this loud whiny noise whenever I put any pressure on the gas pedal. It’s really annoying and I’m not sure what it is. On top of this, I went to pass an Amish person and floored it all the way and my Jeep kind of stopped accelerating and popped and then stopped accelerating and popped. Super strange. Please help.

I have a Jeep TJ Sport 2000 - The dash light, tail lights, and left indicator no longer light up (but the indicator lights up on the dash at 3 times the normal speed). I'm told it is possibly a fuse. It is your clock spring. Sounds like a tab is broken off that resets the blinker

+Howard Hughes too much! part was only 16 + tax (on amazon for like 13). You paid 50 for one hour min(I'm sure) for literally 5mins if even that of work. Literally its 2 dash screws and 4 (one either side and two at the bottom) kick plate screws unclip clip then screw back the 6 screws.

im subscriber 10,999 lol i have a 1999 dodge dakota v8 with the weirdest shit going on... Signals: Work fine. 4 Ways: All work except front passenger side and it also wont appear on the dash cluster (only left shows up). I replaced the Relay(new) and checked the Fuse(still good) and still nothing. **mind boggling part i was testing out the bulbs to see if one was gone and when i use my right indicator at the same time as i turn on the 4 ways everything seems to works fine(even when i turn off right indicator) but again the problem leads back to how do i get my 4 ways to intially work? Do you think its worth replacing the bulbs knowing that they work fine or what exactly should i do here? Any help is greatly apprecaited. If i wasnt in a safety inspection position i wwouldnt be so worried!
