How to Replace a Car Door Handle for a Hyundai Tiburon

thanks for a good clean tube..the tiburon interiors are super solid but the door handles go out on everyone that i find..ebay has interior and exterior 4 piece sets for under 50 bucks..also door cables and window motors galore..i bought my 04 gt from a guy who couldnt roll his window down or open his interior door and when he finally got out he tried to re enter to get his wallet in a miff and broke his outer handle..i paid him 1200 bucks..ebayed the handles..changed the cold intake..and she purs like a kitten

TwistedAutoGarage, you didn't even need to pull the master power window switch out and could of just disconnected the plugs from inside once you pop the door panel off and when you pull on the door panel first start from the bottom of it and pull it away from the door to release it from the 3 or 4 retainer clips holding it in and then push up and away from the door also it would help to roll the window down first so you don't have to fight with resistance trying to pull up on the door panel away from the door. Also to note be careful trying to pry the tweeter as the plastic pegs that mount it to the door will break if you yank them out at an angle i seen so many of those break pulling these off tiburons out in the junk yard. Pulling door panels and replacing door handles are same procedure for all Tiburon models from 2003-2008.

I took the 2 bolts and unhook the yellow art off but my door handle is not coming out at all.

This is almost answer the question I’ve had. I noticed in the center of the door when you took the panel off that metal bracket. The two of them. Actually it looks like there’s one, but somebody told me I lost two of them and they were four in there, and I don’t see any model that has four of those to hold anything.am I making sense and can you answer that question?

good video but i think to be enough it needs bit more precision. the hardest part on removing the handle is taking out the metal rod that has a protrusion on the end so you cant simply slide it out (unlike the smaller metal rod attached to the locking mechanism. Is there a way to remove big metal rod without having to damage the plastic clip that it slides into? cos i want to remove and glue the plastic handle back together. thank

You should have included details on taking out both of those metal arms before unbolting the handle. I played with this for an hour before looking at another video and figuring that out

Ok so I planned on wrapping my 06 tiburon and start with the hardest part...the door handles. How do you remove the door handle specifically from that entire piece that comes in one unit like that? I need to separate the actual handle from the part with the spring, and I can’t figure it out nor can I disassemble the side opposite to where the handle lifts. It’s like the actual handle is irreplaceable without having it connected entirely to that assembly

F.Y.I evryone! You don't need to remove the window button plastics to remove the door pannel.. Its a little hard to remove for 1. And 2. Rather than risk breaking it, or leaving marks on your door or plastics, just unplug the wires from it after you pop the door panel off!
