how many hours do you go between greasing the spindles? i’m trying to find a balance of excessively greasing them and wasting grease, and not doing it enough and shortening the life of the spindles. have you replaced many spindles? they seem to hold up well. thanks!!

I'm not exactly sure how many hours you should go before greasing your spindles. I've just recently lost my first spindle on our big mower and it has 2300 hours on it 🤷 It really depends on how and where you are using the mower. I know in the spring and fall , I use half the amount of grease. I can easily do 100 pumps into each spindle after using the mower all week in hot temperatures. You won't waste the grease 🤓☝️ There is a check valve at the bottom of the spindle underneath the deck on the aluminum style that will release the grease if you pump too much. The larger cast iron spindles release the grease at the top of the mower deck, below the pulleys.
