I'm replacing the intake manifold on my 2009 Dodge Caliber and broke a solenoid

This is becoming a common problem with vehicles with these intake runners. Hope yours runs great for as long as you end up owning it. Hope you feel better soon as well my friend.

It took 2 days to get it changed due to breaking a sensor

@@matersworkshop6123 o ya buddy I know all about those I’ve broken a few of those sensors off a couple cars myself the hardest one still I’ve ever done is a transmission shift sensor inside the tranny

did mines today on a 07 caliber much easier if u remove the wiring harness completely out of the way and also be sure to disconnect black evap line along with every thing connected to it also and disconnect main radiator hose and remove fuel rail

Any idea why the newer calibers like 2011 and other newer I WORLD engines don’t have the intake manifold runner installed or the wiring harness for it? They have the exact same manifold tho?

@@matersworkshop6123 meant variable valve timing on engine. Not cvt trans. Car may be too old and made before vvt. Traditionally with cams you have to choose between low end torque or high end hp/performance. Or else split the difference like stock does. Cause engines perform differently at different rpms. Vvt has a mechanism to rotate the cam(s) slightly at different rpms to give you the best of both. When you mentioned that can or valve timing sensor I was wondering if you had vvt. Cvt.... Continuously variable transmission....is type of transmission that doesn't have gears but rather 2 cones in opposite direction with a belt that slides up and down on them as rpms change. Like a drill press pulley set up but instead of stepped pulleys 2 smooth cones
