God bless you brother for showing the pad polarities! Before watching your helpful video I have spent 2 hours of searching for a pinout diagram that has only produced results of 'buy our LEDs and we will include the polarity diagram'. You are a lifesaver as I do not have a spare wiring harness for this vehicle laying around and my customer lives an hour away! I tried to test for continuity between all 24 pins with each LED pad with zero results. I was going mad until I found your video.

Excellent video man, an easy way to find the home (zero) positions of the panel, just don't install any needle, fire-up the engine, switch it off & then carefully insert all the needles in the zero position without turning the stepper motors.

After repair reconnect board to vehicle with needles off, start vehicle then shut off vehicle, put all needles back on zero, they’ll be where they’re supposed to be

Thank you so much for putting this video out there! Much appreciated my man. Was curious about how to get at the gauges quickly and easily. Got flaky RPM and Temp gauges in my cluster on my 2003 TB. Going to swap out the steppers to avoid having to buy a whole new panel.

What do you mean you just wiggled them out? Did you not heat them up with the iron and then wiggle them out? And why didn't you put the indicators back on at ZERO? You left out a ton of steps here.

That's interesting how it would not calibrate at first. I wonder if when you set all needles to zero, disconnected the battery then reconnected if it would have worked.

Reason I say that is because when I replaced the starter in my F150 the other day I disconnected the ground and when everything was done turned the key over and the gauges calibrated themselves again.

Not sure...I do know everytime you turn your car on they are suppose to calibrate themselves. I was reading where you are suppose to move the dial a little below zero and that should work.

I replaced my stepper motors and all of them work with the exception of the fuel gauge and oil pressure gauge. Any idea why all of them worked when repaired but not those two?

If you already replaced the stepper motor for the oil and it still dont read then you have a bad oil pressure sensor very easy too switch out, with the fuel not reading that is the meter or sensor in the gas tank, that one involves some work
