Thanks for posting. Mine is going bad as well. I want to do this myself but don't have the space currently. Mechanics want $600 to replace. I will wait for now knowing I have this video for reference!

Just got a 2005 2.7 V6 and the clutch is just not engaging well, so this will really help, already got the parts, just waiting for warmer weather ;-)

You made me so nervous with that uncapped bottle of fluid sitting on the battery with you reaching all around it, back and forth. I would have knocked that thing over, for sure!! LOL!

extra karma points for doing the custom intake right. putting the damn filter in the hot air stream makes it worse then OE system people. Cut it out, do it like this guy

did not know the 2.7s came in 5 speed, here in the UK they are 6 speed

Did you took off that little spring from The back of The cylinder? And why
@lostelectrons3 ай бұрын
it adds better response with engaging the clutch and doesn't make it feel so "squishy"

Mine went out and needed replacing. Shops wanted $315 just for labor to do it. Nah. That doesn't include the towing fee either.

What kind of tube or house are you using to bleed the clutch? The people at the auto stores look at me like I'm crazy... But no one has what I'm looking for.
@lostelectrons3 жыл бұрын
I just had a chunk of 1/4" clear PVC tubing laying around. It doesn't matter what it's made of, as long as it's clear (so you can see the fluid coming out) and 1/4" diameter to fit snugly over the bleed nipple

After you shifted gears would your car do a wined up before replacing them two parts?
@lostelectrons4 жыл бұрын
Not really. Was more just hard to get into and out of gear, like the clutch wasn't fully disengaged when the pedal was pressed in. More an issue when trying to go into gear. Reverse was very hard to get into

HI my friend i have a nightmare here. my car was in my garage a open garage about 3 months and i forget to cover the holes of the slave and the master cylinder. men i find a technician and put my new clutch and now the pedal.didnt want to go down entirely. i can't start the engine because the pedal didnt hit the switch its like very close by mm to the switch so the mechanic came and adjust the switch and start the engine the car its running didn't have shifting problem etc but its weird because the pedal didn't want to go down. i know this its not good and i didn't use the car after this. did you believed the slave or master was damage because was 3 months leave in my open garage without cover it? i order new ones and put my fe on this its not works i will sell it

I'm no automotive mechanic, and I am sort of having a hard time understanding the issue, but it sounds like you got a new clutch installed? There's that linkage that goes to the clutch fork inside that attaches to the Slave Cylinder, and that needs to be pushed backwards (towards the cab) until it has a noticeable "click" into position before attaching to the slave

So I've noticed that you replaced the original master cylinder with a different one (41610-2C100 vs 41610-2C500) Was there any difference besides where the clutch fluid reservoir connects to the cylinder?
@lostelectrons4 жыл бұрын
Zero difference in functionality or feel. It's a "genuine" Hyundai part, and the vast majority of Hyundai parts are interchangeable, just like Subaru. Some might just need some very small modifications to fit (rotating the reservoir hose 45 degrees, for example).
@Sheppards19844 жыл бұрын
@@lostelectrons Yup, could've guessed.. Just makes me wonder why Hyundai keeps changing these parts for no reason... Different part numbers for tiburons between 2001-2003 and between 2004-2007 (only it's 5 times harder to find the one I specifically have originally of course). Thanks!
@lostelectrons4 жыл бұрын
@@Sheppards1984 my guess would be different engineers, or trying to make multiple parts fit multiple different vehicles of that specific time frame. Try searching RockAuto.com for specific parts, they seem to have the vast majority available and also show you similar parts that will fit/work for your specific year/model
@Sheppards19844 жыл бұрын
@@lostelectrons Makes sense. Though I'm from Hungary, so I'll have to make do with what I can find here :) (shipping from the US is not an option at the moment, as I need the part right away) but thanks anyway!

To be totally honest, I got the cheapest Cold Air Intake I could find on Ebay that would fit my car 🤣 I think it was $85 shipped to my door

hi .. men i lost rhe freaking plastic washer goes when you pit the clip. can you have idea what i can do or if this part has a part number for find it and order kt?
@lostelectrons4 жыл бұрын
If it's the washer from the pedal connection, you can just use a metal washer of a similar size, but be sure to put some lubricant (like silver anti-seize) between the metal plastic parts

@@lostelectrons thanks for reply.. asking you something today i open my new master cylinder but when i compare the where its start the thread at the new one its like a much upper than the genuines ones.. and im sure order the replacement from luke by the book i have 5 speed 2003 2.7 part number LMC379. i remember change this cylinder before in the past clutch change but i only order part and tech do the job so the genuine i order before and was i pull from the car now its not the came in the car but i order it when i do it with VIN number so i believes its the correct ones to. .. its like the thread screw its more larger compare to the hyundai genuine its normal?
@lostelectrons4 жыл бұрын
@@raulcabronero5649 If you're talking about the length of the threaded adjustment rod, you can make it longer or shorter by loosening the locking nut and spinning it in and out. If you mean that the diameter is larger, it shouldn't really matter as long as it can pass through the firewall and connect to the pedal properly. If you bought the whole mater cylinder, you shouldn't have to swap parts, should just be a direct drop-in replacement.

Can you reuse the cotter pins?
@lostelectrons4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely you can. Do a quick visual inspection on them to check for major wear (like one side worn down flat) before reinstalling, but other than that, they are totally reusable.
