Replacing the practical car with a Viper SRT-10

Might not be the opinion you want to hear, but I think a bone stock gen 3 viper is the best looking viper. I’d leave all the badging in place and not add an ACR stripe. When you take it to car shows it stands alone nicely next to the other generations of vipers. You have a fantastic looking car. I can 100% get behind a full belanger exhaust though, the stock exhaust is way too quiet and it crosses under the cabin so it gets way hotter than it needs to when you’re idling in traffic.

Awesome. I'm looking at either ceramic coating my paint after adding a stripe or something or wrapping the whole car to protect it. Still on the fence. Thanks for watching my random little videos ;)

For the wheels I recommend getting forgestar f14 wheels in silver color. Forgestar wheels are lightweight and inexpensive and they will good on the viper.

Good Video. I have a 2005. Shifter : Take ring off. Easy Loosen nut and adjust shifter to your liking. Then tighten 30 ft lbs.

How tall are you just wondering? About to pick one up at 6’3 and wondering how close you are to my size.

Just right at 6ft. If you're over 6ft, you'll have the same issue I do in cars like this and S2000 where you have to duck down to see some street lights, but there should be plenty of arm/leg room adjustability. Congrats on the new toy!

How much did it cost to buy the viper? They usually cost thirty five to forty thousand dollars for a used one.

Depends on generation and mileage. This one was just under 40k at 15k miles, which is about 5-10k under book value and about 7k under comps on the market at the time. Most cars cheaper are either 2003s with the early gen 3 issues or entire generations earlier.

You bought the wrong car!!! Why would you not get a coup - GTS or SRT-10. Convertibles are 1/3 the price because they leak in the rain, look crappy and values will always be poor. I should know, I owned a 2001 RT-10 - NOW I just purchased a 2009 Viper ACR with extensive modifications. Video coming soon.
