I am preparing to do this, 3 questions. Can I remove the wire loom clips safely with just a flat head screwdriver or do i need that tool? Picked up RTV red instead of black after watching Scotty Kilmer's video. Should i get black instead? Is parts cleaner just brake cleaner?

There's a bolt back there that's almost impossible to change, I ended up taking it to the dealership to change the rear rotors

@@Tailong I thought it was impossible to get that bolt off to but you have to remove the shock and the small stabilizer shock or what not to get to it. Not to hard but a pain. I was not paying someone to doit .

Being a mechanic has no graduation you will learn more and more as time goes by you don't just walk out of a class or program a mechanic in my opinion your admission of not being a mechanic tells me your trouble shooting skills are better than most mechanics I know keep the faith a mechanic is as good a profession as any other trade good luck stay safe keep bending wrenches

On earlier models, the ignition coil connector is covered with a black plastic clamshell and has a single tab to pull back to release the connector.

how you remove a stubborn valve cover? i have unbolted everything but it doesn’t lose

Try tapping on the side of the valve, cover with a rubber mallet and prying at the same time. The vibration will help loosen it.

old video but good hope you still see comments. we just got a 2012 1.7 diesel Sportage and when it's running it smells bad little smokey but not black smoke, I can see oil on top of the rocker and oil leak in the engine down lower. would this gasket be the fault for this. TIA
