How about doing away with the noise?

Nice complete video. How would you install a window WITHOUT the capping and wood on the exterior? ie; have the window frame go straight up to the exterior brick. Thanks.

Wow! You just did what I am about to do in the home studio I am building! Thanks for the video!! This will certainly help this rookie carpenter!!

I don’t have a bender and wondered if you could have used hardee board for outside instead of aluminum siding…? Thanks for the video

Why smash it out and damage the interior wall?.
@JOE_JET Жыл бұрын
The edge of the sheetrock was covered by the window casing. Sometimes I also focus too much on recording and not on work 😕
@jlatnyc Жыл бұрын
IMO the interior damage was minimal. Not a concern at all. Good job on the video

Because, he was in a hurry and didn’t have the proper tools.
@bondpit8750 Жыл бұрын
@@jlatnycMinimal perhaps but no need to have damaged it at all. Casing may cover it but there’s still several gaps being the casing that didn’t need to be there.

Some of the windows were in disastrous condition. The owner of this house decided to replace them all.

Yes, at least in my HomeDepot

@@JOE_JET looked it up. Thanks. Didn't know it's called an Aluminum Brake

You didn't show any sealant in the gap between the rough opening and the window. You're going to let in drafts and noise.

This guy is damaging the Sheetrock. Could have used a better prybar
@JOE_JET Жыл бұрын
Casing covered this 'damage' so there is nothing to dramatize.
@bondpit8750 Жыл бұрын
@@JOE_JETthere was no need to damage it in the first place. Better to use composite shims also. But go ahead, keep doing it your way if that works for ya.
