Zoe Aldcroft is a fantastic player, real workhouse. Emily Scott's versatility is off the mark, girl is 🔥

Fascinating to read this sensible discussion 18 months later. Water under the bridge! With KD-M gone, the 10 slot is wide open. Helena Rowland has many talents, not least her defence. Crucial for me is the front row; pack regularly goes backwards against France; surely NZ will do the same and profit more. Shaunagh Brown a huge asset in the open, a liability at the set-scrum. Other worry No 12. Amber Reed injured a long time; her one weakness outright pace. Other choices Zoe Harrison, Emily Scott, Lagi Tuima, Sarah McKenna. None totally convincing there? Let’s hope Lydia is back to her best for 2021-22; Abby Dow a certainty. No 15 first choice Ellie Kildunne? With Poppy Cleall in this form, Sarah Hunter’s position in doubt! Matthews, Beckett, HM-M, Packer all deserve a back-row place.

As soon as Mo Hunt comes on as replacement scrum half Englands playing improves so much, & then they bring Harrison on for fly half & it drops right back down again

Zoe Harrison seems to have gone off the boil recently - playing her at centre in previous matches, in my opinion, did her no favours. At the moment, Emily Scott would be my second choice at 10, the best position for this talented player.

@@SandSMat its unfortunate as well that although Katy Daley McLean is coming to the end of her career, she is still the best fly half in the world, & its difficult not to compare anyone against her.

I agree with you Simon, Mo Hunt is composed and she can control her team both in defense and in attack. Zoe Harrison has potential but her passing is to jittery at times. Making the situation worse is she is supposed to fill Katy Mclean's shoes.

@@prospermubaiwa3789 I think we also compare Harrison and our other number 10's against Daley McLean, which is unfortunate as she's the best fly half in the world, a genius. It will be many years until we find another specialist of that standard.

@@1Molehill well you are right there. Its actually sad to see that the curtain is coming down on Katey Mclean, most probably after the World cup she might retire. Looking at her standard against all the others she certainly has set the bar too high for them. What a quality player. But also if yu look at Harrison at Saracens girl is lethal, she has these defence breaking running lines and her passing is almost on point, somehow she takes the dive when she plays for the Red Roses, perhaps its all about mental game preparation and exerting too much pressure on herself to deliver like Dailey Mclean. I just hope she gets better cz she has the potential

That penalty before the third try should have been a penalty try and a yellow card, you’ll never see a more blatant try saving illegal play.
