One flaw of these tactics is that the team width is too close which leads to wingers easily going through wide to go either cross or dribble then shoot

Heyo my dude. It's hard to say as I'd need to see the players in the system before I can make an accurate judgment. For example, Gavi could definitely play the same role as Olmo, but he may have different tendencies. I'd say it's probably safe to assume that Gavi would have a very similar role in the number 10 position as well as the injured CBs would have the same roles.

Which coach from the new generation do you think has a style of play similar to that of Hansi Flick?

That's a good question. I can't really say there is one with his unique style of play. I was thinking possibly Naggelsman, or maybe Marco Rose, as they have elements of their playstyles that are similar but nothing quite like Flick.
