If those officers had nothing to hide then they would be open and fair about the report. The fact that they are so upset and offended probably means that they are doing something wrong. Then there is a former officer telling about his own experience. The body cam video of the Paster who was tased in his own church, in front of children and congregates, shows that simply enacting first amendment speech could have you assaulted, arrested, and then charged with a litany of charges proves something is wrong with that police force.

I Have just one question for these officers who claim this report is false. Why would the DOJ Lie about it? What are they trying to do in Worcester to try and undermine a police department? Why would they do that exactly? On the other hand I watched as 2 Worcester police officers tazed and assaulted a Priest in his own Church and in front of his own congregation for exercising his first amendment rights? Let's just say that I lean towards the DOJ's report and leave it at that.
@Praxus423 күн бұрын
"Why would the DOJ Lie..." Maybe they are both corrupt. If a bad guy points out how bad another bad guy is, it doesn't make the first bad guy any less bad. We've seen what the DOJ has done over the last 4-8 years. I trust them as far as I could spit a rat.

Hire an outside agency to investigate a private law firm paid for by the police Union if they find that the report is true. If not, it'll be paid for by the city and any officer who has been found to be part of this issue will be terminated and lose all benefits. You do realize police officers all over America hand their investigation report to a prosecutor (or grand jury) who make the charging decisions on cases like this right? The DOJ investigated it would be up to attorney generals or state prosecutors to take it from there. Let’s all remember how the process works and quit pointing fingers in the wrong direction. Makes you look educationally challenged. 🤷🏼♀️
@OneStepBeyondu4 күн бұрын
@@joellenpaull3294 Funny how the "educationally challenged" seem to forget there are Federal district courts with their own DA's who can prosecute civil right's violations. State courts can only enforce state statutes and ordinances, not federal.

If these allegations are true that’s horrible. I am disheartened for the blatant disregard for victim that were brave enough to come forward. They should be reassuring the public that they themselves take these allegations seriously, and will investigate. What should also be said is the Worcester PD has no tolerance for the behavior they have been accused of. They need to change their tone. To silence the victims and say it’s not true is arrogant. It very well could be true, and they need to put their egos aside. They need to investigate , and find out who the individuals are that are behaving badly and hold them accountable. Please Worcester PD reassure the public that you don’t tolerate such conduct and that your investigating these claims, applaud the victims for coming forward.

Anyone else seeing a pattern developing across the country? How many departments are under federal consent decree or are currently under investigation? Why is it that each report that finally comes out seems to echo the same results at so many different departments? Sounded like a lot of denial at that meeting. The one honest question that I heard that should be given a LOT of attention. Why aren't those officers being investigated and arrested? Hmm me wonders.
@priayief5 күн бұрын
Eventually the public might come to the realization that it is not the police who are to blame. It is the citizens of the community and their elected representatives, past and present, that have allowed the police to operate in an environment lacking effective oversight and accountability. And when those elements are missing, even good people will perform badly.
