Seriously, she is such a shill for MAGA. You have a clip about someone who might be the FBI director talking about going after journalists, and instead she talks about Obama. Then Abrahams talks about Trump blocking legislation to protect journalists and she kisses Trump's rear instead of issuing the slightest bit of criticism. She has been known to be an advocate for MAGA but News Nations treats her like a real journalist. By the way, who in their right mind would put Elon Musk online. The only excuse to not do an interview live is because you want to slice and dice it, and then splice it back together. I once did a 90 minute sit-down with Buzzfeed. They'd booked an empty restaurant. The cameras were set up so no windows or clocks were visible. We started with coffee. I was half done my coffee, but I'd been on planes for days and that always dehydrates me. I asked for water. They brought it in an identical mug, and took away my coffee. "Let me guess. For continuity." When we wrapped, I asked the producer, "Any chance I can get a copy of the full thing?" He was at a loss for words, then realized I was being sarcastic, and laughed. "Yeah, that's not how this works." I was so impressed by the ensuing mini-documentary, I made my mom and mother in law watch it. The best part was that the pre-credit intro for the episode was a clip from halfway through the interview where she said (I'm paraphrasing from memory), "I expected you to be way more hostile." "I always try to be civil when I'm face to face with people." "Well, you DID call me a c*nt!" "Did I?" "Like, six times on some podcast! Are you denying it?" "I just don't recall, but sure. It sounds like something I'd say on a podcast." "Well! Do you STILL think I'm a c*nt?!" "Kinda, yeah." And then I burst out laughing at the look on her face. My only regret was that I wasn't quick enough on my feet to say, "well, you haven't given me any reason to change my mind." It was quite the interview. I talked about boys falling behind girls in K-12. She countered that the majority of CEOs are men. I countered that the majority of CEOs were in kindergarten 40 to 60 years ago, and in college 20 to 40 years ago. And that over time, women have been catching up in those careers that take decades to establish. It's this strange phenomenon known as "lag". Also, why should an entire generation of innocent boys be left behind because of the alleged privilege of their grandfathers? Even if their grandfather was a plumber? Her producer prompted her to maybe come up with a different response. She said she was satisfied with her counterargument about CEOs. I don't recall that bit making it into the final edit. Anyway, I love how they always want to be able to manipulate the final product.
