Repotted mine a couple days ago and didn't try to loosen the roots at all, just put it in a big ass pot with 4 inches growing room on each side. It seemed to be thriving as root bound as it was, so I left it alone to work it out on its own.

Hello The Brown Greenery, Thank you 😊for your information how to repot the Cat Palm 🌴. I just got one at the HEB supermarket for $14.98 about 2 weeks ago. It is about close to 4 feet height. It is beautiful and full of lushly green 🍃. I just subscribed your channel. May GOD always bless you.

I just repotted mine and it was extremely root bound like yours. it was such a chore and then I didnt have enough potting mix for it's new pot, so I had to mix in dirt and pine needles and rocks from outside. I broke so many roots trying to untangle everything. I hope she will be okay.

You should have cut the roots. I repotted mine after a year in a square planter and could barely get it out. Once you notice you have to keep watering these plants they are telling you they need to be repotted. I separated each stalk because they have a lot of dead roots in between them.

i have a large palm that has beautiful large fan-like leaves but the tips ALWAYS come back (after trying to trim them away) as bleached, yellowish tips and I can never get rid of it. I have repotted it and washed off the beautiful and massive root system it has so there is no reason for this. I only water when half dry and still-----damn tips! what can I do?

Use distilled or rain water instead of tap water, it's reacting to the fluoride and chemicals

Great video! Trying to learn more about caring for plants. I have two palms that I just repotted, hoping that I don't kill them.😁 Just subbed!

How do you measure to know how big of a pot you should move it to?
@jodeebreeze7 ай бұрын
I just learned minimum 1-2 inches of growing room, but she is going to 4 inches, which is what I might do for my new mahesty palm instead of the measly 2 inches.

@@jodeebreeze thank you so much. I have a pot with no drainage holes I'm thinking of moving it to. Can I just put rocks at the bottom for drainage or is that not ideal? Love your videos :)
