Disappointed you bought a wild-caught animal. The exotic pet trade is a leading driver of extinction. And it just seems cruel to remove a critter from the wild, stick it in Tupperware, and ship it halfway across the earth.

Hi Dayyan! Greetings from Taiwan here. Thanks for bringing this video up for us to see the diversity of the animal species of this expo. In Taiwan we have expos like this recently, but honestly we don't have that many rare species like you Canadians do! By the way, if you end up couldn't find a normal macularius, why don't you consider another subspecies or other species in same genus? Their care and husbandry are as easy as macularius, some even beat the macularius in terms of colouration or the size!

@kenjiro2676 Жыл бұрын
12:28 Ooo a wildie, although it is good to advocate for captive bred animals, wild animals should be left to breeders who can use them to diversify their bloodlines. Every wild animal used in captive breeding programs can help deepen the gene pool of the captive population. It’s only a problem if a new keeper grabs a wild animal because they are cheaper, and end up not knowing how to quarantine or treat them for parasites.
