Yes definitely!! Anything about isopod care would be awesome. Types of leaf litter, decaying wood, where to get them, substrate, etc . Thank you very much for this video! Loved it ! Cheers

I find myself rewatching good videos (geckos, isopods) multiple times and for good reason. Just noticed your half bamboo piece in the Fla fast. Very good idea. Lots of hiding room there.

I'd like to see a care vid on these guys since I now intend to house a few of the millions that inhabit my backyard. M'backyard is humid (at the end of a slope) with a decaying tree and a compost heap in which these guys seem to thrive relentlessly. Any piece of bark I pick up hides at least a hundred or so and thanks to you I now consider them as pets. Hadn't thought of it before. Take care.

Omg this would be my dream to find! Lol I have only found one isopod in my yard before they are probably deeper in the smaller areas of nutrient rich soil here in Arizona. The ground is compacted and dry most places around me. Do you still have them? ☺️

Great update video. Congrats on the babies. You asked for a suggestion to another video- could you do one on the maintenance (misting/feeding) you do on a daily basis? I'm keeping isopods as well but it would help so much to see how others actually take care of their cultures. Thanks, Wally

Very well put together video Dayyan! Really enjoyed the showcase of your current ‘collection’ (hate that term). Will look forward to a video on your next import, I know you’ve got some cool stuff coming in that ;). My ‘collection’ has been growing quite rapidly too, I’ve got 9 sp/varieties right now. I’m thinking of coming back to my channel and making a video on my isopod cultures seeing as you’re right in saying there’s not much content out there on them and demand is growing, would you be interested in seeing that video? Werneri and Spatulatus are 2 dream sp on my list! :D

I also have problem with my newly arrived P. bolivari, had some losses too, mainly youngs tho, adults seems to do great. How do you manage the humidity in their enclosure ? I personaly just keep a corner of the box wet with sphagnum moss (like i've been advised to), but I think that it might not be enough for them. Great isopods btw, your enclosure look really nice too !

Try to put more ventilation on the side for bolivari, i think the cross ventilation helps my thriving culture.

Im currently looking into getting isopods for a bioactive tank. one of my biggest questions is how humidity levels are for each one. Also when you have a culture of isopods is any cleaning necessary?

@Reptiliatus5 жыл бұрын
They might but I’m not too sure. They breed really fast if they have lots of food from the isopods so they likely won’t help much. I’ve heard springtails can outcompete them.
