I absolutely LOVE the Swalwell/McCarthy near-fisticuffs story. And I believe it completely, because it just matches the McCarthy playbook perfectly: 1. Pick an unwinnable fight. 2. Issue an ultimatum. 3. Lose. He did the *exact* same thing on the debt ceiling negotiation.

Slight complaint, and it’s a very small thing but I think it’s somewhat important to make clear. The guys bring up either Alito or Thomas retiring, and I find it incredibly hard to believe they would ever retire. They will die in those seats. At the very least until some medical situation makes it actively impossible for them to be involved. That’s the level of obstinate they are. Also why we need judicial term limits.

Good economy, SCOTUS picks, won a trade war against China, helped facilitate peace in the middle east, got us out of Afghanistan, started warming relations with North Korea, building up the border, and so on. In terms of all Presidents, Trump is right around the halfway point in terms of how good he was. But if we narrow that scope to only presidents from FDR up, Trump is by the far best president we've had, though first term Regan comes close.

As a Gen Xer, I watched Hogan's Heroes all the time with my brother. It never dawned on my 5 year old self that it's a bit odd that they made a comedy series about a prison camp in Nazi Germany. Who thought that was a good idea?!? Every week, the Americans would try to escape and every week, Schultz would say, "I know *nothing* !" It was his tag line.

Regarding the audio closet thing, I wonder if they mean in the sense of an "A/V" closet, which just holds whatever speaker and audio equipment. It would make sense in a way, because often times, especially at places that are lazy with security, they will contain things like network switches and sometimes servers or PC's that are running audio equipment or security camera equipment.

Mr. Grusch might be a little crazy, but so is every whistleblower. To speak out about something is to be a little crazy because, as we often see, most people don't speak out. His testimony joins a long list of other public officials, eye witnesses, videos, and reports. The fact people seem to resistant to updating their beliefs is honestly a little shocking.

So many feel so aggrieved and underappreciated that having someone who is eternally angry - and "claims" to be on their side - fills a hole in their lives.

On Mobility, I left the USA in 2001 and never went back, just like Lydia's dad quit State, and for the same reason. I love her insight into living overseas and having that foreign service lifestyle, which is deserving of investigation for sure. @57:20 - Issue 1 does raise the requirement to 60%, but the bigger thing that people don't mention as much is that if it passes, to even get onto the ballot, a measure would have to collect at least 5% of registered voters' signatures in EACH AND EVERY COUNTY. Ohio has 88 counties.

Article 3 Section 2 Clause 2 on Supreme Court Jurisdiction says Congress can regulate the court. In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such "Regulations as the Congress shall make".

If you live on the seacoast, you are mostly insulated from MAGA. Well, except for Walmart Beach and Seabrook, I guess. Scumersworth is next to Rochester. Regarding the concept of SCOTUS appointments at 42:31, Thomas and Alito are only in their 70s, so it's unlikely that either will retire (or create an opening by passing away) any time soon, least of all in the next 4-6 years, assuming Biden wins.

An audio closet is a small room off of a stage, ballroom, conference center, etc., where all of the access and control points for audio and visual systems (speakers, microphones, projectors, etc.) are located. It's more of a holdover from older technologies that were bulkier and unsightly (versus USB cables or Wi-Fi).
