I have a respect for the Utah Republican party and Republican voters that I don't have for basically any other group of Republicans. Their politics are rooted in consistent and non-cynical beliefs about what government should be and what is right and wrong. I don't agree with them on most things politically, but I do have respect. I also feel like despite how deeply red the state is on a national level, the Republican voters there seem to return that respect to the other side of the aisle. They don't seem interested in making Democratic voters suffer for its own sake, or really for anyone to suffer for its own sake. Also, a LOT of people don't realize this, but because Utah is so Mormon compared to the nation at large, a HUGE percentage of Utahans compared to the national average have visited and have great respect for and understanding of non-white communities as part of their missions. It's a very white state, but it's not a very anti-minority state. Even if Gleich doesn't win, this is exactly the kind of candidate the Democrats should be running in Utah.

When she said she was a millennial, I was inspired: we need some millennials in congress ASAP.

I have been telling people we millennials have awakened. The GOP don't understand us millennials in the least and they never have, or at least, not for as long as I have been alive. I have known I was a Democrat long before I was of age to vote. And I have never once voted but this year I am. We once didn't much care about politics and government. Now we do because we see what's happening out there and we can no longer ignore it. I remember back in the late 2000's and throughout the 2010's the Democratic Party kept asking where all us millennials were. The Democratic Party know their own even when you're young. But I just told you where we were. Off doing our own thing because, first and foremost we are a very free spirited people, but also because early on in our lives most of the people rejected our worldview and the way we think. So for those of us that decided to do so traveled the world and others of us decided to educate ourselves on many topics and both in many respects. To just simply enjoy life sense most of the world wanted to reject us early on. Which uniquely gave us more life experience than most people have ever known in their lives. We were birthed by the largest generation, the baby boomers. And we as millennials now hold that title as the largest generation in the world because most baby boomers had on average three children each whereas most millennials, the good majority of us have only had one or two children each on average if we have any at all, which means Gen Z is smaller in population size and so is Gen X before us. We are sensible people and have a very unique position and perspective in the world. We have no fear and we take on all challenges and challengers, and where people have told us when we were younger that we were wrong or that it couldn't be done, we proved that it could be done and that we were right. We are the generation that seen the birth of the internet and the many technologies the world now takes for granted. Which is why we are called "The Digital Natives" and not just any digital native as Gen Z is. If you notice, as Caroline showed very clearly, we are a very much active and learned generation each in our own ways but also being very well in tune with technology. We hold that balance in the world. One foot firmly planted in reality while also having the other foot firmly planted in the digital world. That's what it means to be "The Digital Natives". Those images and video of Caroline in her reel is not an uncommon thing to find us millennials doing. But it speaks to what I said earlier, we are not afraid of anything, not even a vehement religion or extremist movement and will confront it head on. They can make all the threats they want, I have experienced worse than them, just by simply living in the world as a free spirit much the same as Caroline has. I don't think it's hard to see what we millennials were born for. To break away and free ourselves from the chains of the programming found in certain circles of society. To allow people to live as who they are, rather than as what some people would like them to be, or what they would want them to believe for that matter. And I know many Gen Z who may read this may not be able to fully grasp or understand what I just said. But regardless, Gen Y can bring those lessons to our nation in every aspect of life and not just concerning the natural world versus the digital world but also concerning many of the hot topics of today because we have always stood in that liminal space. We are the generation that bridges the gap between old and new because of our unique timing of birth from 1980 to 1997. And we know due to that fact that it is us who will bring some sense to the conversation. The real question is, are you ready to listen? It seems to me, you are ready to listen, rather than telling us again as we have experienced nearly all our lives that we're either wrong or that it can't be done or that things don't work that way. When we have proved time and again otherwise. Thought we were crazy back then, didn't you? Now you see how much sense we actually make. Never forget. We saw it coming before you did way back when even in the late 1990's even for as young as some of us were then, while the older generations didn't want to accept it, and also while the new generation after us, Gen Z, doesn't quite know how to properly deal with it. Reject us no longer and we promise that we will reign in the nonsense. And we will open up to a world of possibilities. The millennial vision for the world is a scary vision for certain circles of society out there. But it's the one that's needed. Freedom.

I’d hazard that overall, we’re losing respect not because we don’t recognize the things they did and progress they made that we can build on, but the fact that they won’t turn it over to younger generations who are more in touch with the electorate-they won’t retire. The sheer fact that many representatives can’t recognize that they are not an adequate representation of the average people they represent is part of the issue. We actually do, though, she is not a mountain skier, lol! Debbie Mucarsell-Powell is a great candidate! A decent Democrat who really wants to help people and already served in the House of Representatives, so she also has some experience. Once, a friend of mine was unable to get the compensation from the state of Florida she was entitled to and the process took many weeks before Debiie's office stepped in. My friend is an ordinary citizen, he has never been involved in politics and didn't know anyone in this office. He spoke with great respect for Debbie M-P and the help he received from them. Mr Wellman, thank you for bringing Caroline to your show. I am Australian and lots of Americans will be saying "It's got nothing to do with you keep your nose out of our politics. But what happens in the USA affects us in Australia too. I think Caroline Greich is a charming, eloquent, thoughtful, positive, refreshing delight.
