@@SiggyHiggy Depends on what excatly you mean by "frauding any election". The republican party has made it quite clear that they are fine with limiting peoples access to voting and reducing the amount of people who vote. One could argue that this is "frauding an election". If you mean that they have made a massive conspiracy, something to the effect of what Trump made up when he lost the election, then no that has not happend. However that seems to have been what Trump was trying to do, he was trying to change the results of the election after the fact. So just because it has not happend, does not mean that some people haven't given it a shot.

But let's say they did come up with a really good policy recently (they haven't) , would you actually vote for it? or would everyone's judgment be sort of clouded from the loads of videos, articles, and news like this video here that paint Republicans as the offspring of Hitler? I'd like to believe that the Republican party can save itself, but I don't think the media is going to allow that to happen. I think even if Republicans pull a full 180, people can just bring up the GOP's racist, homophobic past, not to mention the capital riots as a little cherry on top. I don't think there's anything they can do man. And honestly, that might not be a bad thing. I think they should scrap the party or split it up or something, and start new.
@butte5359

@@SiggyHiggy If they would do a full 180 you would expect them to have put in a lot of work to show to the people that they have changed. It's not like you would trust them if they said "okay from today onwards we stand for new values", they would actually have to put some meat behind thoes words. I think it would be easier to just essentially start a new party, or sub party, though that would take a long time before it would be politically viable to even stand a chance to win a presidency, or gain a lot of seats in the house / senate.

@orchardlea
@orchardlea 3 жыл бұрын
@@kalmonsalmon1946 I'm not from the US, but seeing as they haven't replied to you yet... from what I've seen, the US has serious issues regarding ID. Some states have state ID cards, some don't. Other possible ID forms are passport or driving license, and some states don't require a photo ID. Few people own a passport (much less than 50%), and it's expensive and time-consuming to get one. A driving license takes 2-6 months, requiring a learner's permit first - obviously not everyone drives because not everyone can afford a car, so taking out a driving license that costs time and money you don't have for a document you'll hardly ever need doesn't make sense. For state ID, each state requirement is different, but they usually require long lists of documents that in themselves are other forms of ID, which makes it complicated for people with informal incomes, informal renting agreements, no formal health coverage and other restrictions common to lower-income people. Plus it requires a fee that may not seem much to you or me, but to them means choosing between a document you'll rarely need except to vote and putting food on the table for another week.

@@listen4159 I'm not saying it is a problem that you have people working and still be poor. But it does make sense to require photo-id when voting. That's not anything unusual anywhere else.
