for one, their respective “journeys” (if they can even be called that LOL) in the lost hero ultimately end the same way- with them giving up the councilorship to a newcomer that reminded them of the dead counselor before them (w/ jake having given beckendorf’s old bunk to leo and drew outright pointing out how similarly piper thinks to silena) albeit in jake’s case obv its in a more positive light and drew’s is decidedly negative. there is also with jake and drew’s feelings when it came to running their cabins when they were still in power, with will pointing out jake never wanted to become it, and piper saying drew was relieved to be free from the duty in blood of olympus- both of them didn’t like the responsibility and valued focusing on their own interests and hobbies etc. and how in the end still jake winds up being counselor again (with nyssa and him co-running it but still) after leo’s death and drew assumedly (?) taking up the mantle again in the following summer after piper leaves camp halfblood. a lot of this is me making a meal with scraps of canon tbf but i think that’s where the fun comes from it. would and could go more into their grief and stuff but god this comments long enough LEL

@@wishecho loved this comment! I never really saw the similarities but this definitely gives more light to jake and drew. Kinda sucks for both of them that, even after they gave up being a counselor they still had to do it again when the ones they gave the role too either died or left.
