Man I love Thursdays. Come home from work, feel immensely bad about not practicing. This song is going so well.

Little bit late to the party this time but I just wanted to say that I appreciate everything about this series so much. It's incredibly entertaining to dive deeper into the creation of these riffs and to be able to see how much work goes into it. Furthermore, I like your healthy approach regarding your own capabilities. You're confident to a level where it's really easy to sympathise with you and you never come across as overconfident or boastful. I feel like especially guitarists tend to play down their own skills a lot. Seeing you appreciating a good take or if something that you made simply sounds good is really refreshing. I hope that you will continue to have fun with creating these videos because it certainly translates well into what we get to see here :)

I enjoy seeing your process and how streamlined it is. You can just lay down ideas relatively quickly and efficiently. Like using the keyboard to play drum ideas and then editing after seems like a better option than just clicking in every hit which is what I usually do. Or also using take lanes for your guitar takes. I need to figure that one out as well. Love the vids! Keep it up! 🤘

Man Idk what it is but coming from playing guitar and producing my own bands music back in the 00's, your process and watching how you come up with riffs and then form them together into songs, it's just so relatable to my old process but so much more refined! You make it look so simple to get an idea from your head to a recorded song. It makes me want to pick it back up. Like it makes me wanna turn my gaming PC into a studio PC tomorrow and copy your whole rig lol! Keep making these dude, I love em!

Bro you should be way bigger on this platform then you are, also just made myself a guitar and put it in drop c, such a fun tuning I don’t think I’m ever gonna be able to bring a 6 string back into standard tuning again 😂

Hi Nick! I thought this track was killer! Nicely done! I also like you walking us through the whole process of recording and structuring. I learn a lot. I do have a question though. How did you do that thing (for the lack of the correct terminology) where you record a certain section with multiple automatic takes? My apologies if i sound stupid. English is not my first language.

For some reason I am wanting to hear just a little more volume on the solo. Also a little less volume of the lead after the solo and a little more volume of the rhythm during the lead after the solo. IDK why, but thats just what I feel

Midi keyboard is the Alesis v49 and the bass is a Spector Dan Briggs signature!

Hey I read somewhere that single coil is harder to mix, how true is this?
@nickbroomhallmusic Жыл бұрын
With high gain tones it can be a little challenging because of how harsh it can be in the high mid range
