No joke more deck profiles should look like this,. It’s great to see actual effort in the profile and not just drawing out presenting a list to reach 8 min midroll.

Weirdly, the best deck profiles ive ever seen are done by King Scarlet, who’s most competitive deck until extremely recently was Gouki…. In 2022….. they are super high quality and indepth for literally no reason
@SDREHXC Жыл бұрын
I mean, most deck profiles are nobody youtubers chasing down their buddies or random topping players at events. I don’t think most people are *trying* to make a good deck profile. It’s just to show the list.

@@SDREHXCEh. I like both. I'm a Rikka player, so having Jess and TopTierGaming incorporate combo guides and explanations is incredibly helpful for someone learning the deck. Meanwhile, a more experienced player like myself can also just use the quicker decklist vids as inspiration for their own.

13:34 Hard agree with rescue being incredibly important - the games where i feel safe with this deck are the games where i have an activatable rescue waiting in my hand or in the backrow, the card is just so versatile from extending my plays to being a shark cannon against bystials, or stealing a boss monster or link fodder
@jvandep Жыл бұрын
I run 1 kaiju in the side which I can search with smallworld (prosp to expensive for me). Its amazing to have fire engine on board turn 0, tribute their bossmonster, triggereing fire engine and reviving said bossmonster with rescue.

Remember when Amazing Defenders was released and people were cooking Libromancer Mikanko decks and complaining Purrely and Rescue ACE were so bad? Good times. It really feels like in this game anything can happen, just look at Unchained suddenly becoming the top deck.

Im normally not a regular viewer of mbt's content but I have to say he blew this deck profile out of the water. I watched some ocg videos (mostly cn) when I'm curious about their meta game and always found the 20min-30min worth of card choice, meta discussion, or banlist implications so much more informative than the "8-10min bye, if you want more info search another video" content here. Obviously being able to learn from strong players is a great benefit, but I feel like the format of deck profiles here is quite limiting. So I'm glad someone is at least trying to push for more informative content all wrapped up in a single place instead of forcing people to search 3 more different videos to get any missing information.

As someone whose only experience in competitive ygo is playing against guys who just copy toping decklists and can't do anything other than a few turn 1 combos and know nothing else about the deck, this has to be the best deck profile I've ever seen. I, someone whose knowledge of the current meta is just kash and purrely go brr, was able to keep up and actually understand the reasons for this and that because you aren't just saying "trust me guys, this card really helped against some really bad matchups". Really hope more people take this video as an example of how a deck profile is supposed to go.

a big oversight that people tend to have is that RESCUE! can target your opponents grave too. think of it as a similar mudora ishizu card to shuffle back, but instead you take control of it which in alot of decks can mean disaster or potentially turn ending. i have won a few games like that after taking an opponents fallen of albaz, but i imagine this could work against purrely and even unchained too

I feel like people are playing one impulse because the OCG is but the OCG has a completely different deck. We need impulse in the TCG to play through boards and summon things from deck when we get stopped. In OCG they have auradon which makes hydrant a 1 card double negate that will eat handtraps to either break boards,play through boards, protect boards like evenly imperm on turbulance, lighting storm etc. and have options that aren't so linear and make a floodgate in herald. Its just not the same deck.
@JaneOCGmeta Жыл бұрын
I feel like I have seen a lot of r-ace deck list with 3 impulse and main deck super poly lately in our OCG format these days. And probably OCG people already know auradon is too good that might get ban in upcoming banlist so now people are more leading toward playing more other extra link monster these days still the deck too good. Rescue! is legit one of the best cards of the deck, not only is it recovery, it's additional offense during the battle phase and if you have Hydrant you can also use it to disrupt your opponents GY, for example by reborning Bystial targets, Tearlaments monsters or their Kashtira Fenrir. Or reborn IP to hasten your link climb. It's flexible enough to play more than 1 if the format is very heavy on the GY.

I mean I know thus took you weeks to learn the ins and outs of but I'd love to see more in depth deck profiles or overviews on meta relevant decks because I learned a lot about just how the deck functions and what lines of play they have access to which as a newer currently more casual player i don't have access to without face to face experience testing against the deck

Whats crazy is 3 guys at my locals who have gone to YCS events consistently play 2 HQ. They laugh when someone uses something like TT or Cosmic to get rid only for a second copy to come down and them targeting the 1st one along with whatever other ones are banished or in the GY. Its actually an underated card that in the long term actually allows the deck to grind a bit. But with this list, Prospy to 2 would be the only cut and thats hurting immediate consistency for long-term consistency

i actually had fenrir in here until a few days before the event. i think it competes for the nib slot, and there are enough nombos - impulse and the like - that occasionally make it not worth that said, it is an INCREDIBLY powerful card and should DEFINITELY be a consideration for one of the non-engine slots
