How would you like to see this truck be built? We'd love to hear your ideas!
@scrapguy68162 жыл бұрын
Keep the body natural. Clean it up and put a clear coat on it. Some shiny cragers from the 70's. Nice tires. And a good 350 4 barrel Chevy engine.

I would keep going in the direction of just up date everything. Don't paint it get rid of the red rims change the steering wheel.

since the bed can be lowered..getting items off and on the bed, would be nice to a bed filled with items that would help "Dig" out new finds in the fields. Chainsaws, picks, shovels, temp tires, to fill in ruts left by tries etc..

I think everyone has the right to believe whatever they want however, as someone who doesn't share your beliefs ( I don't believe in gods, the supernatural etc) my heart did break slightly when you cited religion as a reason for giving up something you loved.
@bitlittle4572 жыл бұрын
Brian that was The Holy Spirit working within you Jesus is calling you and saying son come home to Me . You have every rite to walk away or run to Jesus He is a gentleman He will not force you to believe in Him, just know these 2 things no Jesus no peace know Jesus know peace and 100 years from now it will absolutely matter my prayers are with you Brian
@Bushypalmer2 жыл бұрын
@@bitlittle457 I know that probably sounded really profound in your own head but no. The reason my heart broke a little was I recognised his story. Before I was indoctrinated in to religion I had hobbies that gave me pleasure. I was a fisherman and quite an accomplished musician. Like the OP I too attributed these things as "keeping me from hanging around with the wrong type of friends" Unfortunately, like the OP I was also convinced by other people that religion was the way, like the OP I also substituted my projection from hobbies to the supernatural. Nearly two decades on when I can see no good reason to believe any of it is true and with a profound sense of having wasted 20years of my life I find myself rekindling my love affair with my hobbies.

What an open and honest testimony from this young man. I think he was honestly asking a decent price for both at $3k, you guys got a great deal.

I had a 49 5 window and I had a 350 4 bolt engine late model rear end but I used all the original front end with late model hubs so it was five lug all the way around. Had dual gas cans on the running boards, and bucket seats. It would pass everything except the gas station lol. It would do 130 mph with the speedometer not operating correctly had a visor over front windshield and the wing window doors. I love that truck so that when I got married it was our truck! I had started it from the frame and lowered the frame by playing with leaf springs so it was down low and not so slow. I love it.!

I had a Vietnam Vet buddy who had a 52 with a inline 6, and one of those water cooler window units for A/C. He would re-paint it every so often with brown primer. Looked similar to this one. I think finishing it the way he was heading with it would honor his vision, with your suspension mods and engine work. Too bad the parts truck isn't good enough for a 2nd project, they could be cousins.

You know I watched this video and enjoyed it and figured I be good with watching the rebuild step by step... and be good with that whatever you do. Took a nap and woke up up and found myself thinking about it and had some thoughts of my own... and so sending these thoughts on. The thing is they are popular and you can find dozens and dozens of these rebuilds all over the place.... but the point being most all are basically the same. This has a particular nice patina going for it... but... not much else as is different than all the rest. So my thoughts and not sure what or how... but be cool to see you do something totally wild... radical... different than what we see out there. Something y'all are known to do... maybe chopped... and sectioned... real short box... hot engine... be a lot of extra work in case you're just thinking of getting it done and move it on... but hey really comes down to you and how much y'all want to put into it... but blessing to whatever you do, do.

i watch a lot of towing and recovery videos i see a lot of towing companies that use a car haulers they buy what they call scates looks like some sorta composite material they put in front of the wheels that don't roll and they slip under the tire and slide on the trailer real easy you might want to look into some it also makes sliding the vehicle from side to side easy as well

Oh man how AWESOME! When he was talking about the truck and saying how it helped him before he got married to stay out of trouble and other things I though"hey that kind of sounds like my experience after Christ changed my life and heart" I had lost all hope or trust in anyone anywhere and was so angry at the world and life I couldn't see let alone see straight. Purpose truth, strength, and for the very first time HOPE! I felt His presence and knew He had Forgiven me for being a complete alcoholic druged up MESS!! The truck seller said "It was my identity for a few years of my life until Jesus got a hold of my heart" and my heart thumped with "I knew it" lol. I could sense that he had perhaps met my savior and my joy filled heart moved up into my throat. It's SO GOOD to hear good news and something wonderful about someone at this point in our timeline in the world that I am thankful big time for Restored and the family for sharing and producing these videos. I AM CANADIAN and my heart is so very broken for my country right now (Feb 22 2022) as well as the USA. I needed some joy and hope again and hearing this story is just beautiful! Thank you ALL!
