3:54 incase you don't know.... Those front fenders on the 70 Dodge Coronet/Super Bee, are also used on that 1970 Plymouth Superbird... a little trivia
@BryceCold Жыл бұрын
Yup! I did know that. They also used the 70 Coronet hoods for the Super Birds. They just cut that front part of the hood off so they could mount the nose cone.

Man that 1972 B5 blue Road Runner is a sweet car I had one it was plumb crazy with a 440 and my friend had a B5 car just like that 72 in the garage there I wish I still owned that car but I was young at the time and needed the money that was when those cars were going for 10 grand in mint shape now they have over doubled the value since then and that was back in the 1990's

440 six pack slap stick, f6 green, black interior (white is a pain to keep up with) you got a mountain of pain in the ass work but the upside is all the content potential and if it gets to be too much you can just go for a ride in the coronet.

Your car, your rules man. You are definitely a man that is enamored with his purchase. I understand your excitement and share it. To some, looking at this car they see a piece of junk. They are a labor of love. You don't put yourself through.all.of that work because you are sane. You just love them and you do the work, planning, scheming the entire time you work on them. You got a new sub and I will be happy to watch her transform into a bad @$$ Challenger.
@BryceCold Жыл бұрын
Well, thanks so much, man. I really appreciate that! Also, you're excited right, it's a labor of love fixing these cars. Is it a lot of work? Sure, is it going to cost me a lot?Absolutely. Would most people have just walked away from something this bad? Probably, but there are only so many of these cars left, and since the car is fixable, I can't just let it rot into the ground. I appreciate the support, man. Thank you 🙌🏻

Don't get me wrong, the white interior with the green would have looked really cool back in the day, and I do like that color combo, it's just that I use my cars so much and I'm always dirty working on them, I would ruin that white interior in no time. The whole car is going to get put back with black interior.

So normally, I'd agree with you on that one, but the frame of the car is actually pretty solid. The thin sheet metal floors, roof skin, and a few other places are easily replaceable. Visually, it looks bad for sure, but structurally, it's in good shape.

@willthetrill48492 жыл бұрын
That car is perfect to make into 1 of 71 Hemi challenger RT’s. Hopefully you have the budget to buy a 426 Hemi crate motor that looks like an authentic Hemi, a 727 torqueflite and a 3.55:1 Dana 60. Also you can put in a shaker hood and it’s scoop. If you can’t afford the Hemi crate engine, you can make this car into a 440 6 pack with a torqueflite. Definitely keep the original green and the original white interior color. The idea is to make this car look as authentic as possible. It’ll look even cooler with a white vinyl top to match the interior. I highly recommend you do this to this car because it’s perfect for it and the real thing is so rare
@BryceCold2 жыл бұрын
Well, I certainly agree with you on that but I'm not going to put the vinyl top back on and I'm going to put the interior in black. Other than that the car will most likely get a 440 of some variation or a Gen 3 Hemi. Imnalso going to repaint the car its original FJ6 Green Go color 👍🏻

I paid $5K for the car, and if it wasn't a 71 Challenger I don't know that I would have bought it. The car is pretty rough but since it's a 71 with the rare fj6 paint code, it's worth saving. So 5K was worth it.
