“We Are not here to be happy. We are here to glorify the Lord.” This is a hard truth but important to understand in our walk with the Lord. Her testimony is powerful.

This was a very interesting story to listen to. As I was hearing it I realized that this story took place in a looooong span of time. When she went to Peru, she had a 6 month old baby. Now she has grown children. Her repentance, sanctification and her marriage's restoration took years to come to fruition. I think in a time of social media, sitcoms and movies, we forget about how long God's work in our lives can take. We forget that patience and long suffering are Christ-like characteristics that we need to ask the Father for. This was a just in time reminder for me to keep waiting on the Lord and trusting that in His time all things will be made new. I am overwhelmed by God's goodness in Christy's life. He is faithful! We can trust Him!

Oh praise the Lord for His mercies!! how blessed we are when we hear testimonies about how truly amazing our God is! He can work in the lives of His children in ways that we cannot comprehend ❤

Thank you for your honesty. Sometimes life brings so many challenges and ill health in myself and my children, and now my husband, challenges rolling over one another relentlessly until I am too exhausted to even deal with it. For a couple of years now I just haven't been able to see God like I used to. Yet, when you see those tiny glimmers of glory in the darkness or in the relentless fog, it's like seeing the line to your anchor. You know the Rock. You know His anchor holds fast. Even when the boat is billowing in dark fog, the rock stays. My brain is fried, my body burned out medically and emotionally, but my God is certain. I'm too tired to even pray most of the time but He is never too tired. He is certain, secure, faithful, wise and love.
