If she came from the pipeline to slaughter they probably just didn't bother to feed her. It's horrible what they go through. Far too often a horse rescue I've watched has bought auction horses & all they can do is give the last act of kindness. But others have made a lot of people very good horses. Or even just nice pasture ornaments.

Horses are like gigantic dog's, so are cow's. As I'm sure you do, I love all animal's, Opossums included (they eat pest's lol) Horses have so much loyalty when treated correctly

Oh try being a horse person...don't have to own one..just to be with them...there is an energy. I don't have one and never did and it's only best to have at least two because they need each other. Although, I must admit , my heart goes to donkeys. At this ranch..Skydog, they have donkeys as well. Marcie Marshmellow was just born a month or so...she looks like a little lamb. And you will be a horse person after seeing the horses that live on their land. They aren't "owned", they just enjoy life and that really can lift you up. They teach me quite a bit. Have a good day.

❤God bless you all. My twenty seventh dog in fifteen years will go to heaven next Tues Nov. Of 23. Doggie dementia as a person has rare but real. 15 years old blind from cataracts arthritis 80pounds. She doesn't know me or her yard or. House she's in pain so it's time for her to go to heaven all my other 127,dogs are of 65 years of rescue and adoption by me.maybe we will all be together again. People see their pets coming running towards them in Heaven, during a NDE. They have been waiting for you and playing with other animals during their longing for you. I have had 17 dogs. The most intelligent was out first Afghan Hound. Sadly, she developed dementia ( which can be caused by a brain tumor) . At fifteen, she didn’t know where she was, the poor girl. She was utterly miserable. I had to send her to Heaven also. I know that she is not alone. Take care.

I was raised around horses and I've been riding for as long as I can remember. I will never understand how people could be so inhumane to such noble and intelligent creatures. It not only sickens me but it infuriates me. One of our horses came from a horrible situation and she's the sweetest and most gentle horse of our herd.

Many do. One does large horses (Gentle Giants), one does miniature ponies, one does wild mustangs) (to keep them in the wild), one at least does donkeys, one does mules… these come to mind. Some make calendars, others booklets. I think more and more are doing this in some form.

I have also noticed that little sparkle in Dream's eyes when she arrived but she had a long way to go to recover physically and also emotionaly With the help of the Guardian Angels at the sanctuary she could pull through and then thriving with the help of her Donkey love Joe Pesci and her others horses friends Very relevant story about the resilience, in this case of a horse but animals in general We Humans really have to learn from them ❤🐎🫏❤

Great to see Drream's recovery. The sanctuary where I volunteer took in a horse recently that is as emaciated as Dream used to be. She is recovering and I can't wait for her to look as wonderful as Dream does now. :-)

Mustangs just like our Australian Brumbies are underrated and construed as feral. Unfortunately, what we humans very conveniently choose to forget is that these animals were not initially wild or feral. Humans abandoned them in the wild and conveniently forgot about them. Until some ass hole greenie decided they were an "environmental" problem. Now they are hunted, shot, mistreated. What we humans have never appreciated is how intelligent and inclusive they are. Skydog Sanctuary is absolutely incredible!! They have reunited family members of Mustangs after they were captured, freedom taken away, sitting in holding pens that are packed full. They offer lifelong sanctuary to the ones that need their freedom back. They have hundreds of acres for these family bands to live like they are meant to. They save horses that have medical issues and abuse cases. I'm so happy to see them on the Dodo, I follow them on Facebook and KZbin. 🩷
