good job mate, look forward to the next one. tip - if changing the pads & brake rotors down the line, be careful not to let the caliper hang by itself like that, you can rest it on the control arm or hang it off it with a bungee cord

Great minds think a like I didn't know you shouldn't do this but what wasn't on the video is I didn't leave it hanging I left it on the control arm as I thought it shouldn't be dangling :) thanks for the advice :)

Everything I try to do on a car takes longer than I think it should so this makes me feel like that’s ok and just part of the process. Thank you

Really refreshing to see someone just giving it a go. Had my MK1 for 3 years now and Ive given up with doing stuff myself as everything I did turned into a bigger job than I wanted to/could handle

The screw hole in the disc looks like the kind used to help remove seized discs. Usually if you struggle to get the disc off, you can screw a bolt into that hole and it pushes the disc off the hub. Discs are sometimes bolted to hubs, but the holes are usually counter sunk so they don't foul the wheels, but that hole looks like its only threaded. To be honest, even when the discs have bolts they're not really needed as the wheel does all the clamping it needs, and generally the bolts just go rusty and snap.

Try not to let the caliper hang off the pipe like that, it can do damage and cause your breaks to fail - instead hook it off something like the coil on your suspension or something.

Thanks for the advice after I had filmed the video I put it on the video so for the 2 weeks waiting for the part. It wasn't pulling on anything just why I filmed :)
