At first, I thought George was an insensitive, cold, controlling and uncaring man, but, when, he was taking Beethoven to Dr Varnicks office to be put to sleep, apologised to Beethoven for treating him poorly and remembered about the time his father put his dog down, it made me believe that George had buckets of love and affection for Beethoven and wasn't the controlling, cold, insensitive and uncaring man, I originally thought he was. Hearing how he never forgave his father for having his dog euthanized, made me feel sorry for him.
