You may love watching them but if you could "see" then you would know how sad it is for them to be prisoners of this tiny concrete prison. All the gorillas look to thin and the monkeys look unhealthy and a lot of hair loss. They are bored and stressed daily. There is tension everyday between all the groups . The behavior of the gorilla says it all about how he is feeling. They are not happy or content. Locked up isn't where they want to be nor should be. The zoo only has them because the gorillas are the bread and butter for the zoo. The gorillas are the main attraction people want to see at zoo. Life for these gorillas isn't a happy or good life , it's quite sad . If you look into there eyes you will "see" the sadness they hold. How do you think you would feel if you were a prisoner ( not of your own actions) in a concrete jungle that was way to small while adding more to the groups and being gawked at daily by loud people? There isn't anything to stimulate their mind and everyday is the same over and over . Boredom, stresses them all . The tension will never stop for any of them. The zoo's aren't keeping them to help them (as they claim) they aquire them because it means more profit.

Are the zoo professionals not aware of this, or are they intentionally causing stress to make the gorillas more active for visitors?
