You should maybe try to make these a little less obvious that you dragged it through some mud and wet grass. That greenish yellowish tint is unmistakable. It can't be anything other than grass stains. Obviously no one is just doing that to their console at some point, it must be done intentionally for the video.

Did you keep your console in a cupboard all its life? Mine looks like it's been painted in custard due to decades of sun exposure and certainly more yellow/"green" than his. I definitely never dragged mine around the garden in the grass 🤷‍♂️

@@LarryRenzokuken that’s not what he’s talking about. The plastic yellowing is from the flame retardant chemical they treat it with. Usually the plastic becomes yellow over time from UV exposure. Same thing plagued many a SNES console. He’s talking about the green crud that washes off.

I'm REALLY not sure all these 'dirtied up' consoles are legit.. I mean it's still good work but they don't all seem authentically aged and look like they have a very similar 'patina'. Hope I'm wrong, but...

The only problem with retrobriting with sunlight is the UV doesn't evently apply to the plastic and you get sunspots as you can see on the controller port plastic where some splotches are whiter than other parts of it. Other than that looks a lot better than the original condition it was in. Due to the age of the dreamcast I'd pesonally recap the motherboard and replace the thermal pads on the cpu and gpu. You got a model 1 dreamcast and that's compatible with the MODE optical drive EMU and noctua fan mod if you ever decide to go down that route.
