welcome i hope you sell them all but i have a question is it worth getting parts and selling them as a side hustle or business just curious @@brandon5853
@brandon585311 ай бұрын
Yes if you can get parts cheap, and ship them cheap, it’s absolutely worth it!

Its great when you can find in demand parts. I started selling Mustang parts for the 79-93 fox bodies back in 2000 or so on eBay. 5 lug conversion spindles from the 94-95 cars were great. I got them for like $55-60 and they sold for $150-200. I paid for my whole conversion that way. 😂 Great job!

That’s awesome, Thanks! I wish I started selling parts sooner I’ve got pictures I took at this same junkyard of a Nissan 300zx I would’ve made a huge profit on if I was selling parts at the time, it’s hard to find older cars in the yard here because they rust out very quickly where I live

Love the videos. In ontario Canada looking to sell a couple of subaru grills on ebay. Just wondering what you charge for shipping. Thanks
@brandon58533 ай бұрын
Thanks glad to hear it, and I usually charge $45, but for the bigger ones it may cost closer to $70 to ship , get a Canada post small business account for free if you don’t already it will give you a discounted rate , you can get a cost estimate through the Canada post website once you’ve decided what box you are going to use to ship

question for you. for the piece you took from the cadillac curious how you are able to test to see if all those buttons work?
@brandon5853 Жыл бұрын
Good question, in this case it is untested, most items I cannot test, so I only remove electronic parts from vehicles in good condition, in this case the Cadillac besides the front end hit was in good condition for a junkyard. I’ve had to pass on valuable parts before because the vehicle that has the parts is heavily abused or dirty

Are you shipping from Hawaii? No way that cost $50 to ship ups or FedEx ground. 7:03

Sure it’s called Multi-Kleen Plus made by Kleen-Flo it’s a popular Brand in Canada, that particular product is similar to Spray Nine which is sold world wide , thanks for watching!

Absolute insanity. What is your overall P&L?
@brandon5853 Жыл бұрын
Thanks, I’ll just take one item for example instead of going overall, The mirage grill I paid $9.99 plus tax so $11.50 It sold for $209 + $40 shipping after fees I was left with $211 and it cost $40 to ship so $171 minus my purchase cost of $11.50 is $159.50 profit on this one item, my prices discussed are in Canadian Dollars so my profit is about $120 US dollars

... on the taillights.... why did you cut the wires instead of just unclipping the connector?.... same again on the cts piece... wtf are you cutting the wires instead of just unclipping the connectors? is it cause you are lazy or are you just trying to screw over others? i dont get it, cutting the wires provides no benefit to you and takes longer than just unclipping the connectors.
@brandon58538 ай бұрын
So thats just what I’ve always done I cut the wire PAST the connectors on purpose incase the buyer needs both parts of the connector I understand that it’s easier to just unclip them but it’s easier to sell the items when I have that extra part of the wire with them, if someone messages me looking for the other part a few months after I list the item I may not be able to get it for them as these vehicles get stripped and crushed pretty quickly , I appreciate your curiosity and I understand that what you say would in fact be easier yes I’m basically just including the other part incase the buyer has a damaged connector they can rewire it or if not they can unclip it and directly plug it in , cheers
@RR-bt5xv8 ай бұрын
@@brandon5853 cutting on the other side of the connector is smart no added cost to you and benefit to the buyer if he needs it. if you know you know

When you look anything on eBay you can see sold listings and see what people have been paying for the item over the past 90 days
