Just pulled an overhead console from a 2006 Titan. Can't wait to get it cleaned up and listed. Thank you for the video, lots of good information here!

Hi, I'm soooo happy that I just found your channel. I'm interested in changing categories to auto parts; your channel has REALLY helped me to do my research on narrowing down a niche. Thank you 👍.

I also like to flip some junkyard parts, but typically been pretty limited in what I take/list. This video gives me more ideas and we'll see if I am as profitable as you. Appreciate these videos! Cheers from North Carolina

I’m always willing to take a risk on different parts if I can get them cheap, my issue is getting access to unique / old vehicles rarely happens here, if I can find a whole car I’ll part it out on video, best of luck from Canada cheers

@@brandon5853 I mostly do toyota stuff, as well as other Japanese brands. Just extra money to put towards my own car What do your yards charge for steering wheels? Airbag?
@brandon5853
@brandon5853 6 ай бұрын
@@garrettxowens I’ve done well with older Toyota 4Runners, Camrys and Tacomas , but to find anything older than 2000 at a yard here is very rare because the cars rust out very fast on the east coast from ocean air and salt on the roads winter time , I’ve never purchased a steering wheel or airbag here, are they very profitable for you? This yard is usually priced fair but some things are high like $45ca for master window switch

@@brandon5853 I do good with certain steering wheels from corolla, rav4, matrix, and pontiac vibe from early 00s Here it's about 15 for the wheel, I can get 60+ for them. Really good condition fetches 130

@brandon5853
@brandon5853 7 ай бұрын
@@unknown_5925 Yes good point , I am interested in More Mechanical Parts for sure, If I can purchase a full vehicle to dismantle I will be getting deeper into stripping the car, most of what I see in the yard already has The engine and Transmission sold so I’m often looking at interior parts and exterior grilles etc…, hopefully you’ll see a new upload soon, either junkyard, part out, or project vehicle. Thanks again for your interest in my Channel!

Do people ever complain about where you cut the wires from on the back side? Great watch by the way, I always thought about doing this, however sometimes our market out here for car parts even from the junk yard can be quiet expensive depending on where you go. Thanks for sharing.
@brandon5853
@brandon5853 7 ай бұрын
No I actually do that on purpose incase the buyer needs both parts of the connector , if they don’t they can simply unplug it , The reason I am able to profit here is because all parts are a fixed price so for example a headlight from a 1999 4 runner is the same price as a headlight from a 2024 mustang , I wish there was more yards like it, but this is the only one I know of in my province, Thanks for watching and for the questions, and don’t hesitate to try it out if you can get stuff cheap it really is as easy as it looks !
@brandon5853
@brandon5853 7 ай бұрын
Someone recently asked the same question on my previous video, I’ve never had a buyer mention it before though I see including the full connection as a good thing because it costs me no extra and if the buyer was to request the other part of the connector I may not be able to get it at the time of purchase because these vehicles are crushed every few months

How do you know what years a part is good for

If I’m looking at a 2006 Toyota Tacoma glove box I’ll look up on eBay 2006 Toyota Tacoma glove box and sort by lowest price when I see one the same it will tell me the year range I believe 2005-2015 for that Tacoma

Some parts i look it up at rockauto and then hit the highlighted part number and it will tell me what other model and year range it fits. i just found out a part i need for my chevy impala is also on a buick regal i already have in my backyard that is t-boned. if you know one year it fits like when you take something off at a yard then you can look up that year vehicle, find the part and click the part number and it gives you what else it fits.

Over the past 2 years I’ve sold over 30 car parts, they are not easy to source , I’ve sold lights, front grills, sun visors and lots more, just because I haven’t sold thousands of parts doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m talking about, unfortunately I live in a small town with just 1 public junkyard, if I was able to source more items you would see more items sold, you are only looking at the past 90 days in sales, if you seen every car part I ever sold you may have more respect but I understand that most people are intimidated by selling online, and may not understand others strategies, I only buy in demand parts that I know are going to sell quick, I could easily have thousands of car part sales if I bought every item and waited months for them to sell but having just high profit items makes it more worth my while, I do not do this as a full time and I also do not have room currently for storage for hundreds of car parts but I’d love to keep growing and expanding what I do when it comes to selling online, and comments like this only encourage me to keep going, Thanks - Brandon

So when u research parts for a specific vehicle say 2010 Tacoma glovebox I’ll see what my competitors on eBay have listed and they will have the range of years suitable in their listing which is 2005-2015 for that item also most parts have a part number which will also link you to the OEM part on the car manufacturers parts site

As Brandon mention you can look what other sellers have it listed to fit but i like going to like rockauto and look up the part for the vehicle i took it out of then just hitting the highlighted part number and they will tell you what it all fits plus the year range. i like this better because the other sellers i have found can be wrong just copying someone else that thought they knew what it all fits where the auto parts store gets it right 99.9% of the time. Plus i buy liquidation pallets and sometimes i only get a part number and don't even know what vehicle to even start with so i can just import the part number over at rockauto and it just pops up what it all fits if they sell that part, sometimes they don't.
