Expectations are natural Demanding they be met is where the problem starts But some should, so theres another problem Killing complexity does kill problems because it just kills everything, so it's no real solution and is only a voice of those who resent the burden that comes with complexity without appreciation of the beauty it brings

@@tedbkd1 interesting, can you share more of your rules (of course only if you dont mind). But i dont know how to let go of my resentment, i dont wish ill on that person but i just want the acknowlegment of their wrong doings (i dont care about an apology to me, i care more about how that person treated and treats people) , i just hate when that person dismiss the way i feel. I am resentful. My mom abused me as a child because she had me with another man that's not her husband. She pretends that I'm her husband's child and makes me pretend too. If I stand up an say to the world who I am its shames me for being a bastard child. And my mom an all her relatives including my uncle who is my biological dad tell me to keep quiet an go along with her lie. I just got dumped by woman because she said my stories of my childhood make her sleep bad sometimes. To give even more detail to this insanity I'm white but my moms husband is black so no one believes my moms story that I'm her husband's child. But they all shame me if I don't play along. Currently I'm disowned by all relatives and 100% alone. So what am I supposed to stand up too? The world? My family again? My mom?

Stand up to yourself first. Stop putting yourself down. It’s something I’m working on as well but life can be incredibly hard for people. For you, for me, and for billions of other people. We may be surrounded by people who seem better off than we are and maybe they even are but I guarantee you’re better off than most of the world. I’m the farthest thing from an expert on doing this but I’m trying and you should to. Maybe it would help to tell your mother/uncle and any other relative how they’ve wronged you. But to rise up at all stop pushing yourself down and then maybe you can pull the other people off who are putting you down.

1) Be cognizant of your emotions: Practice identifying emotions in your stream of thought. Think "I am experiencing x emotion", and know that these emotions don't necessarily have to impact your actions. Negative and destructive emotions are not who you are. 2) Find your passion/what your good at and excel at it: Find what you are good at and work towards becoming better at it. This will also help build confidence and self worth. 3) Be confident in yourself: Know that you have the ability to improve yourself. 4) Find a Positive Community: This can be physical or digital 5) Be Grateful for what you do have: 1 in 8 people on earth don't have an available source of water. Countless African children were stolen from their families and are forcibly made into brutal killers addicted to drugs. 6) Recognize that incremental improvement is the best way forward: Rome wasn't built in a day 7) Recognize that struggle, if properly managed, can promote success. "The things that make you amazing are your abilities to overcome adversity. All my favorite people, they all came from a very tumultuous childhood. They all came from turmoil." -Joe Rogan

I wish I could offer this great exercise or class that could help you, but, unfortunately I am in the same boat. Sometimes I question why because, I can see other people that are happy, and I know it really comes down to perception. They perceive things positively and I negatively. I'm not a stupid person, yet struggle with the idea of seeing what the problem is and yet not being able to change. I'm a very humble person so this next statement if you think about it is not me boasting about myself it is really a dig (I had to say that because it just bugs me when people talk about how great, or smart, or attractive they are, I feel that's other people's job to judge that) I feel like I'm too smart givin the tools I have to get through life.

@polypus743 жыл бұрын
Because that will accomplish absolutely nothing maybe? It's just some nastiness in your head right, what difference does it make, especially to the evil people in question. Recognize the resentment, do something about it, or move on. While you're at it make sure you're absolutely sure they are evil, or that much more evil than you are, that they deserve resentment in the first place. All far easier said than done, I know, I'm only just starting to even attempt to put this into practice.

@@someonesomeone25 That may be true to some degree, but I'm not convinced it is necessarily the primary driving force in a will to fight. You'd have to actually show me the data basically, or else it's just conjecture. Is a patriotic call to duty, resentment? Many soldiers don't even fight for any ideals at all, or lose them shortly after witnessing warfare, they fight on just in order not to die, or they fight because they have made strong social bonds, and so it becomes tribal. Bottom line though, is that resentment eats away at your soul, so if you want desperately to hold onto it, via. some clever intellectual maneuver (been there done that), believe me,yeah just a stranger on the internet, it's a bad idea. over and out, and good luck to you
