Only Reason People Believe Native Governments Are Poor Are Because They Are Not Informed On The True History. My people were slaughtered through pure genocide. North America WAS packed full of people like it is now. They were murdered by the current sovereign government. Consistently pushing them into smaller and smaller territory. Constantly breaking promises of food medicine and ammunition. Tricking my people over and over again. Not only creating IRS to demographically attack my people. But B.I.A. didn't have our people's best interest in mind either. Just wanted My people to blend in to the new world and assimilate. I am almost 30 years of age and I am a direct decedent from the savages portrayed on TV. These times were less than a hundred years ago people. Kill 200 million people and ask the remnants to recover in 200 years. Ridiculous. But it is the government that doesn't teach what they did to my people so I do not blame white people. ONLY IGNORANT. My people were not arrogant and did not fight at the first wrong word. But instead come together unite and understand what needs to be done. My people never wanted violence. So instead they chose peace and you have the five civilized tribes. They reside in Oklahoma. The rest are all around North America on reservations and some either do not know what "the real world is like" or are terrified of it. As they should be. I walk amongst people without spirit Everyday. It is Truly a sad sight to behold. Watching someone wallow in misery and depression. Chinese as well building the railroads. It seems like there was something special going on in the Americas. Like the people had already made the mistakes and learned to live in relative peace and harmony with creation. Hopefully we can see a change back to some better ways. With the condition of our planet we really need a revival of true wisdom and respect to all creation. As a white person though I got to say there are some very ignorant and stubborn white people. There are a lot of great Indiginous shows on APTN (Aboriginal People's Television Network) here in Canada too. One of my favorite networks.

Michigander here and I adore this show. I'm so happy for the native people being represented and being able to learn more about the culture. Def need to check out Rutherford falls. Was also a big fan of longmire and getting to see the native actors from the show in other movies and shows.

I am so thrilled that you reviewed RD and endorse it. It's difficult as an outsider of any culture who wants to know more to know whether or not a TV show is an accurate and/or fair representation. Unfortunately, I have no indigenous peoples in my life to ask. Please don't hate, I just have no peoples in my life at all. I have like 5 living blood relatives, 2 of which are siblings lol.) So glad to find your channel and learn about Indigenous culture through it.

Loved your guys video. As a middle aged white guy who grew up in AZ small town, with Yavapai Apache and working construction all over AZ with Dine and Hopi, I laughed so hard. So many references that made me laugh and reminded me of home. The owl reference reminded of a time we were working up by Window Rock. My boss had told some of the guys who were working with us, three young brothers, to go grab his truck and run to the yard and grab some material. We kept working and realized that about five minutes had passed and they were still sitting in the truck arguing about something. Finally, one of them comes over and we are like, WTF. My boss had this stupid fake snake skin steering wheel cover and none of them wanted to touch it, and were sitting there arguing over who was going to drive the truck. Funniest joke ever told to me by a Navajo. "How come we don't let white people rain dance?" "Why?' "Because when they do, it snows."

As a person, I'm happy to get this perspective of life and enjoy this entertainment. It's about time! As an American, I'm glad to finally hear the voice of this important part of our family. It's about time! As a white man, I'm proud and excited for you as you kick down the doors that have been put up by people who have looked like me, but ARE NOT ME. IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! As me, I hope this is just the springboard that inspires an entire people to share their stories with the rest of the world. I also can't wait for season 2, 3, 4, 5 ..... I have TV to binge watch lol

Been watching your channel for a while. Love the show! Congratulations guys can’t wait to see more. Obviously I’m not Native, I spent some of my childhood in Utah. My best friend growing up was adopted by a Navajo family I spent so much time with them some of the jokes hit close to home. I’m so happy to see a show that takes control of their own image and how they want to be seen it’s about time :) I Wishing you all much success!
