I could be wrong but look at video again , to use injectior need to remove valve core on regular presta. Fillmore is not regular presta and you do not remove anything, so no way to insert anything other than air/ liquid per its design, so that might be issue. The orange seal has a tube you slip over , not a needle point to insert thru a coreless presta. Not sure why Fillmore didn’t reply to you, only 34 comments and not like u get lost in thousands of replies , called customer service🥸

I have a Stan’s injector. And same issue. It’s loose when I try fitting the injector tube. Comes right off and sealant spills everywhere
@Jocool0785 Жыл бұрын
I've had good luck adding sealant directly through the valve. Stans works great with an injector or just any tube that fits over the valve OD. You can also us Orange Seal. It comes with a hose that fits right around the valve body OD. Squeezy squeezy and rest easy! Don't have to remove a core or crack your tire bead.

The valves allow for hassle free tire seating. However you cannon inject sealant (at least with Muc-off) directly through the valve. Fillmore advised me that they recommend a manual pour for sealant.

I love these valves for everyday use, but it's time they quit glossing over the issues with adding sealant. When I contacted them they suggested I go buy some vinyl tubing from the hardware store. the idea is to slip one end of the tubing over the valve and insert the injector into the other end. It worked, but was really sloppy. The Shad video they refer to worked because of gravity. I tried that today and after about 15 minutes, all but about 1/2 ounce had gone in. I'd like to see these guys produce a video showing what they think is the best method. Other than unseating the tire and pouring sealant directly into the casing, I don't think there's a neat, simple system.

Without having a core to remove how do you check the sealant level? With a Presta valve I remove the core and use a small zip-tie like an oil dip stick to see how much sealant is in there. Keeps me topped off without over filling.
@climbslc22812 жыл бұрын
I don't find the dipstick thing all that easy to judge. I take my wheel off and shake it. If I can't hear the sealant then there isn't enough. Also, I was always worried that if I broke the bead to check/refill I'd have a hard time reseating it with presta valves. Fillmore's seat allow the tires to be seated so easily, if they sound low I just break the bead now and check/pour in more if needed.

With mountain (and road) rims getting wider can we expect to see a Fillmore Valve that can be used with Schrader inflators? Nothing against presta but sometimes the air available isn't presta and we don't always remember to bring our adapters. This is the main reason I rund Schrader on all my bikes.

It seals inside the tire/rim chamber to eliminate clogging which is another major issue with Presta. Also, it’s much easier to release air with these as compared to the arthritis inducing micro nut on a Presta valve. Anyways, they’re awesome and I highly recommend them

If they weren't expensive as hell I'd give them a try. Not all of us live in the US and have thousands of dollars in salary and can easily spend 60$ for a couple of valves. We eat a whole week with 60$ in many places around the world, so that's freaking expensive to pay for tubeless valves. They're way way overpriced.
