Love the way Madsen snorts,digs in his ear while listening to the prospects being offered to him. Makes the character real. Tarantino really got a dream cast on his first roll of the dice here. They all brought a realism not seen in movies in almost 10 years when this was released in '92. This is the flick that made the audiences want to see real acting and great dialog in movies again like we had in the 70s

I don't think it precludes the possibility of him taking the longshoreman job they offer him, its just that Vic isn't the kind of person who'll be happy getting paid for doing nothing but sit on his ass. After doing his time he wants to be able to get back into a line of work more suitable to his skill set, but still needs a legitimate cover job.
@VolatileSmile4 жыл бұрын
@@malleableconcrete When he says "come back to work for you guys" does he mean being at company warehouses with hot items again or the heist? And Nice Guy said he could get him plenty of jobs. All he had to do was pick which type of normal job he wanted. But instead he does a 6 man robbery.
@malleableconcrete4 жыл бұрын
@@VolatileSmile I think he means something he would fit in well with, like I said the Longshoreman thing was a fake job, and probably not something he has experience or interest in, but it would still be useful to get his Parole Officer off his back while he does 'real' work. He's a career criminal, he's probably drawn to a major job like that with a big score at the end where his skills would be better put to work, Eddie feels like he owes him for doing the time and keeping his mouth shut and both Eddie and Joe know that he's at least loyal and experienced. They probably assumed that this would be a straightforward job with everything working out fine if things went to plan, they might have been right if it wasn't for Mr Orange, and with or without Blonde the police would have been tipped off anyway (though he certainly made things way worse, but it wasn't his fault that the job was a setup in the first place).
