To this day, Reservoir Dogs is still my favorite Tarantino film. Being very similar in structure, the Hateful Eight comes in a close second for me. I love the focus, in both films, on a single setpiece, with heavy, intensive characterization and dialogue. A close third after those movies is Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, which I think many people largely misunderstood, and think it will be better appreciated within his filmography as time goes on. @dontbefatuousjeffrey24944 жыл бұрын
I always feel like the key to it having aged so well is the timeless nature of the f**ked-up-heist-plan scenario AND how low-budget the film could be based on the script. I mean, you could essentially play this out as a minimal-props play on a small stage (pretty sure it's been done too, for obvious reasons). The black-and-white for the matching suits, the obscure but killer retro soundtrack... it had basic yet iconic written all over it.

I loved exploring all of LA and I know exactly what he's talking about. For those that aren't aware sunset boulevard outside of being the strip and having some famous areas It's long. A quick Google search shows sunset boulevard total lengths of 23.6 mi. It goes all the way from Pacific Coast highway\Highway 1 to downtown LA going through Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly hills, and Bel Air before going down into Malibu. On a good day with no traffic light traffic it would take at least 45 minutes to an hour to do the whole stretch double that time frame if not more with traffic. Sunset Boulevard roughly traces the arc of mountains that form part of the northern boundary of the Los Angeles Basin, following the path of a 1780s cattle trail from the Pueblo de Los Angeles to the ocean.
