Resetting the Network Configuration on a Zebra GK420d Printer . I ran into a problem where I send a Zebra GK420d label printer to one of my locations and forgot to change the network configuration to any. It was set for the wrong subnet should have grabbed its IP address from DHCP.
In Permanent mode this will not happen so Instead of driving to that location I was able to walk someone through the steps to reset the network configuration and after that it was able to pick up the correct IP address from DHCP.

Thank you for posting this. I had a few Gk420t printers that I needed to reset. I was only doing the 4 flash sequence and I didn't realize I needed to let it flash once after it went red. Worked like a charm!

It's been awhile but I believe you just tap the button one time and it will print the configuration.

M gk420t won't reset the ip address. Is it because it's set to permanent?

Sorry, I haven't messed with the printers in ages. This command should have done a full reset to the network. Have you printed out the configuration page to see what your ip is?

Is it recognizing that the paper is loaded? Does it blink a certain amount of time or infinite?

bought a XP 450 CTP from eBay. downloaded drivers for 8244.When I print return shipping label. Can't get it to fill 4x6 label.

Just check your printing preferences. Chances are you don't have the label configured there so it's printing smaller. You should be able to select the label size you are using.

try printing a label from Microsoft word with the page set up with a 4x6 size and see if it will print. when you print from Tophat does it print small and is that site setup to print 4x6 labels on a thermal printer?

it's printing the config on the left side of the label and cuts off the IP info. Anyone know how to fix that?

I have an odd feeling you probably don’t need this info anymore but I’ll leave it for anyone who might, change the set print width, you can do this on the web server under media settings or hold the button for 5 flashes and it’ll print wider and wider bars, tap the button again once it’s showing the full width of your label and not more
