@@SICPARVISMAGNA3018 Ironically, Michael Gough (Saddler) did something similar for a character he did in Killer 7 for a brief tie-in cutscene in one of the No More Heroes game. It was 13 years since he did that character, and for such a small part they got him back just to do that character. It's really just down to voice direction and casting I imagine. Voice actors will probably do it as long as you pay them properly and there isn't some contractual limitation. Capcom with Resident Evil just seems to want to go in a completely new route with their remakes though.

i just finished his fight in the remake and sorry I prefer this one over the remake. here Krauser was a comrade of Leon in the misión Javier (dark side chronicles), Leon was as good as Krauser but this guy was no joke fight to defeat until the end. in the remake was portrait as the trainer of Leon and he accepted defeat by Leon and let him stab his own knive at the end, sorry loose drama and epicness in the new version.

Remake Krauser is better imo. Not just mechanically and visually, but also in terms of characterization. I really like the build-up in the remake with his first appearance being the reflection in the knife which later is mirrored by Leon, finding his tent with the recording and him constantly calling you rookie. But when you bested him he drops the rookie line and says "I trained you well, Leon." With Leon answering "That you did, major. That you did." The mutual respect is great, as is the final shot of him with the drawbridge going up.
