What also helped me is changing the Camera speed AND Aim speed to Max, had difficulty doing it with only Aim speed on Max. Be sure you're spamming F or X/A when you unscope.

Updated 4/4 works 90% of the time for me. OK, I thought my dpi wasn't enough and my mouse had 3200 max dpi. I tried like 30 mins and finally figured out why I was failing so hard even tho i maxed out everything (dpi, camera speed..etc) My tip is when you get closer to the door, press q (quick turn) and keep pressing S throughout the whole process, so u r basically walking back towards the door. While doing so, open your scope and look down as closer to Leon's feet as possible. AND the moment you hit the door, hold still until your scope is stable. Then IMMEDIATELY turn 90 degrees(yes, you don't need to turn 180 or 360 to do the clip) and unscope + spamming your F key. 3 things have to do it together. Took me 10 hrs to realize that LOL. Dpi doesn't really matter. I can now do a door clip within 1 or 2 tries. The reason for that is when you hit the door with ur scope opened, Leon is actually clipped through the door, and there's a delay for the game to correct that. So when you turn immediately there fast enough, you can interact with the other side of the door to let you clip through it.

Adjusted my MM720's mouse's DPI left my settings in game and worked a charm. Got it after 3 tries, hate this section. Thanks!

got it in a minute after cranking the sensitivity to the max. unfrotunately (for speedruns), this bug has a tendency to softlock the game if you haven't done a major flag before glitching the door. it's still great for speed optimizing (i.e. opening the door at the maze)

On console tutorial videos they do it by crouch-walking backwards so that Leon sticks his ass through a bit. Is that also an option for the PC version?

I don't know, since this is the only way to skip doors on PC it's the only way i've tried, maybe if you try do it like in console it might work

@@wowcoret I just beat the game earlier today so I'm pretty far off on trying it out. But I'll definitely be trying it out on my next playthrough. I didn't know how the specifics of the glitch worked, I just kept playing the game without looking it up haha. Now that I do know, I'll can try it on my next playthrough. I've beaten the game pretty often already. My main save file has 7 beaten playthroughs and I've done 2 NG playthroughs on professional (S+ and handcannon separately) and 1 of standard (S+ with infinite ammo). So that's 10 times in total. I do still intend to do an S+ run on assisted and on hardcore just to get S+ everywhere. Don't care for Mercs at the moment though... until there's some actual worthwhile unlockables at least.

@@wowcoret I already got S+ on Professional, so it wouldn't be useful to me. I would say check out existing S+ guides and if you think you can do a better one, go for it. I checked out that one for Neon Splice or whatever his name is and I managed to make it work, but I had to come up with quite a few inventive ways for things not covered, inconsistencies, etc. For casual players who want to tackle S+ on pro, consistency is important. The current tactic used by top speedrunners for the village is actually very similar to what I used, for example. It's far easier and more consistent than that guide (I figured it out on my own because I kept failing with the guidevs tactics). And there's plenty more things thats have been discovered since that result in far more consistency. That being said, someone else might have made a guide that does use those tactics. Since I already got what I want there is no need for me to check them all out anymore.

weird, make sure to have a scope equipped on the sniper and to aim as low as possible and always stick to the wall by pressing S and turn quick

I managed to skip the key card section and reach the elevator (the one you have access to once you demolish the wall with the wrecking ball) but you need ashley to be present with you when you press the button to activate the elevator, it won't let you continue past that point.

On console there's a method by crouch-walking backwards, then turning around and quickly pressing the interact button. Gotta set the camera speed and accelleration to max of course. You don't need to aim so you can just leave your aiming settings as is, it's just the non-aiming camera settings that have to be cranked up to max (which is still very slow, but fast enough to do the glitch at least).

@Ashley de Armadura e Óculos even doing that doesn't work for me. I hate it. I even tried the twins skip where youre supposed to wait for the checkpoint to auto save while half through the way and lo and behold it never showed the auto save notification but when i reloaded it loaded me in on the same spot ad if it had autosaved but it put me out of the wall. The game just hates me. These exploits never work for me no matter how hard i try or how right i do it.

Alright! Im officially tapping out. Been at this for 30 minutes, at which point I could have easily made my way to the other side of the door legitimately. Could be the fact im on console and/or the door I was attempting it on (snake/lion head statue locked door). Regardless, im just going to finish the game 100% legitimately. Congratulations and enjoy to anyone who can pull this off, but dont consider the game legitimately beaten until you can beat it without glitching.

on console it's nearly impossible. Of course you first beat it normal with no glitches, what's the point of not doing it? then if you want some good times for S+, well, it's not a cheat or something, it's just taking advantage of a glitch.

@@wowcoret I guess it doesn't work on the Conquistador room to the merchant. You could skip the whole underground section if that was possible. Though I do think there could be a potential skip in the underground section itself. In the section where the wooden bridge breaks, I think it could potentially be possible to clip out of bounds and make your way over to the elevator. As for Luis... perhaps you can spawn him nearby when saving at the nearby merchant and then reloading. Skipping the whole underground section would be huge, but even just skipping that final part would shave off a few minutes.

@@thenonexistinghero Hi, it only works on doors that have a prompt for leon to do the animation of opening the door, it doesn't work on doors that need keys to open them or doors that need you to activate switches, mechanisms, levers or buttons to open them. I am sure there will be many more skips with the saving skipping glitch.

@@wowcoret I think the merchant door in the Conquistador room does have the animation (but I'm not entirely sure). No switches or anything either. Well, there's also quite a few weird places in that room so I suppose it could be possible for them to find an out of bounds glitch as well to make it past there. It's easily the biggest possible time save in the game and skips multiple chapters.

​@TheGoldenCrowbar Glitches are in the game and thus the responsibility of the developers to fix (which capcom never will) so I agree they're different than using cheats, which are done via the player bringing in third party mods/tech. With that said, this definitely isn't a valid/honorable way to beat the game. If I had it my way all glitched achievements, leaderboards etc would be seperate from those earned legitimately/as intended by the game developers. End of soap box speech. TL:DR: I agree but it's still not legit either way.
