Resident Evil 6 Part 3: Jake's Story - VZedshows

It's time for some unfinished business. The return of Resident Evil 6 (Biohazard 6 outside of North America) to VZedshows. Capcom's most recent entry into their long running Resident Evil series, my progress through the game has been tough and staggered, but i must continue slouching towards Resident Evil 7. Stay tuned as we make our way through the story of Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin taking on the likes of Simmons, Evil Ada and a big ol' thing who's chasing them for some reason.

I actually liked this route the most, but I credit that to Sherry and Jake being the most likable characters............ and not much else. I agree that there's nothing amazing about how they're written but they're alot better than everything else in the game as far as writing goes.

I'm with you there. They have the best of the chapters, but it's evened out by how horrible it becomes when it crashes headlong into the other storylines. Some really good stuff roughed up by some stuff roughed right up.

I can't help but kinda like this big dumb stupid game despite it's big dumb stupid gameness. Also really digging this video series that's been going for over a year now haha

yeah, there's an endearing quality to games that are this big and this horrible at the same time. And i promise the next incremental series won't take this long :P

I honestly never got to this point. I gave up on Chris' story. And I never liked Jake conceptually either. Why is Dante in an RE game? All the fucker needs is an evil twin brother and Capcom rips themselves off completely. An "appeal" for the RE story was that the bad guys were the ones with the super powers. Giving them to the good guys ruins the tension more or less. And no wonder why they brought Wesker back. Simmons is one of gaming's worst villains ever next to the Origami killer from Heavy Rain.

Origami killer is way better than Simmons. Simmons does... NOTHING. Seriously, they just talk about him, them he shows up and we dispatch him. There's nothing there. As far as the super powers, i'm not sure if Jake's fighting is supposed to be a super power, but it's so out of place it might as well be. And i mean, they alredy ruined Jill in RE5 with those mega ninja powers, i guess they figured it was the new standard.

VZedshows They are both equally as bad, it's almost hard to choose which is worse. But it'll probably have to go to Simmons. There is no explanation as to why he's so obsessed with Ada. I am pretty sure Jake's fighting is a super power, he more or less inherited it from Wesker. To RE5's defense, Jill stopped using those ninja powers when she stopped being hypnotized. Jake pretty much has the powers throughout RE6.
